Growing up in the media spotlight, actor Daniel Radcliffe has had quite a charmed life. Among all that Hollywood hype, he has maintained a true british sense of self and is quite well-read, politically minded and very charming. He is passionate about politics – both American and British and has this to say about our new president, Barack Obama:

“I am so proud and happy for this country. He is everything the rest of the world liked about America and now likes again. He is both Martin Luther King and JFK. He is a pioneer. He is a symbol of progress which is what we dig about this country. What you love about England is all the old buildings and such. The traditions. I love that, too. But this is what we want from you.

And may I? I’d like to take this opportunity to issue a public invitation to the Obamas that if their daughters would like a private tour of the Harry Potter set, I would be honored to be their personal tour guide.”

Radcliffe also reveals a love of poet John Keats, that Robert Pattinson would win in contest of who girls prefer, his opinion of the Prince Harry scandal, and a very funny Broadway showtune he performs that pokes fun of his character in Equus. Check out the interview at The Daily Beast.

Britian’s Prince Harry and his girlfriend of 5 years, Chelsy Davy, have called an end to their relationship. The two spent time recently on a luxury vacation to try to rekindle the romance but apparently, it didn’t work.

A well-placed royal source close to the young prince told us: “Yes, they have split, they are not together. But they are still friendly and still amicable.

 

“They have been going out for five years and the relationship had run its course. This happens.”

Davy is looking forward to her career in law and Prince Harry is devoting more time to his career in the british military. The prince will have a tough time of it, no girlfriend and a ban on alcohol that comes with his piloting course.

The Throne Rangers (girls who just want to date/marry a prince) will be out in full force now.

Britian’s Prince Harry has found himself in hot water again. This time, the wayward Prince has had a video from 2006 turn up and he is heard referring to another soldier using a racist slur.

[...]Harry referred to one colleague as “our little paki friend” — using a derogatory term for people of Pakistani origin.

It reported that he called another cadet — who was wearing a headscarf — a “raghead.” The newspaper said that the video was filmed by other cadets and supplied to the newspaper.

This is not the first time Prince Harry has been at the center of a racist row. In 2005 he was photographed wearing a uniform with a swastika armband for a costume party his friends were having.

Rugged, red-headed royal Prince Harry is taking his girlfriend, Chelsy Davy, to the romantic island of Mauritius this New Years for a secluded getaway. The pair have not had a lot of time together as she is finishing working with a prestigious law firm this term and he has been with his army regiment. The Prince of Wales is reported to be spending some serious cash on this vacation.

They are booked into a junior suite in one of the island’s most luxurious hotels for eight nights and will wake up each morning to the sound of the crystal-clear Indian Ocean lapping on the sand outside their room.

My fave British randy royals, Prince William and Prince Harry have joined an exclusive, upper crust, posh gentlemen’s club in London. The two party princes have been keeping a low profile as far as dinking is concerned and now will be able to indulge in yet more privacy.

Are the watering holes they have been photographed coming in and out of now a thing of the past for these two emerging Royal Family members? They have both cut down on the visible partying this past year and have focused more on their military careers and on charity/royal duties. Expect to see more grown up, responsible ventures from the future king and his brother as they come into their own right and begin to take on more public duties for the british monarchy.
