Saoirse Ronan attended the premiere of The Way Back held at the Cinematheque Francaise in Paris along with costars Colin Farrell, Ed Harris and Jim Sturgess.

The film, a true story about a rag-tag group of escaped prisoners who trek 4,000 miles to reach freedom, had the actors in many different outdoor climates (including filming in the desert, Siberian and mountain settings as well) to portray the long, arduous journey the escapees undertook. On the London premiere red carpet, Ronan and costars were asked what was the hardest thing they had to endure while filming.

Saoirse said “It was tough sometimes to be in such a warm climate,” referring to their time in Morocco, but everyone got along well and there really weren’t problems otherwise.

Before Twilight took him to new levels of fame, Robert Pattinson starred in a short film in 2008 called The Summer House. The movie has been languishing for a while, but will finally be available to purchase on iTunes July 13th. What it’s about:

Jane (Talulah Riley) is in rural France visiting her aunt Priscilla (Anna Calder-Marshall) during the hot summer of 1969, the year of the Moon landings. Also staying at this beautiful 19th century chateau, a sleeping beauty of a house, are her aunt’s old flame Freddie Porteous, (David Burke) a charming Englishman, and his wife Marie Pierre, (Marianne Borgo) a French woman of great sophistication and beauty.

Jane has left behind an unfaithful first love. Several letters have pursued her, letters decorated with hearts to tempt her.  The author of these letters, Richard (Robert Pattinson) turns up uninvited. Jane is unaware that her situation is provoking tensions among the older generation, she catches whispers of unspoken somethings at the heart of Freddie and Priscilla’s relationship and she finds Marie Pierre’s allure and passion unsettling.

Sounds perfect for the hot steamy weather of the summer months.

Actress Kristen Stewart finished up her photo calls and press responsibilities in Berlin with costar Taylor Lautner on Friday. Lautner blew off a little steam go-karting (see pics here) while Stewart took a more serious and somber route with her off time. The Twilight Saga: Eclipse actress visited the Memorial for Murdered Jews in Europe (the Holocaust Museum) and took in some history. She did pose with fans who stopped her on her way in to the museum and at her hotel. More photos of Stewart are below.

Taylor Lautner has been in Germany this week with costar Kristen Stewart promoting the next Twilight movie. After his promotional duties were done, he spent his downtime in Berlin go-kart racing. The Twilight Saga: Eclipse actor had his helmet on  while he took to the track Saturday afternoon.

The actor stopped for lunch at Zillemarkt afterward and was greeted by fans. He took time to pose with and sign autographs for the appreciative gals.

The Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in California had a visit from The Last Airbender stars Jackson Rathbone and Nicola Peltz as the duo met with fans on Thursday afternoon. Tiger cubs were cuddled, otters were held and pictures were taken.

Rathbone and Peltz will play the live-action version of Sokka and Katara, the Water Tribe siblings who accompany Aang (Noah Ringer) as he journeys to the North Pole, learns waterbending and kicks Fire Nation booty along the way.

Taylor Lautner takes over the cover of GQ magazine which comes out June 22nd. The Twilight Saga star is in the midst of the crazy Eclipse promotion tour with his costars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, but for this article, it was all Team Jacob.

Taylor Lautner on what it felt like to present at the Oscars, with Kristen Stewart:“I would have passed out if she wasn’t there!” Lautner says. “You’re looking down and you’re talking to George Clooney, Leonardo DiCaprio-and they’re listening to you!”

…on having to audition a second time for the role of Jacob Black:

“I’m in the gym, and I’m doing reps, and I’m reading the books, and I’m studying the character. I’m just saying to myself, ‘I want this role. I love this role. I’m not gonna lose it. And I’m gonna know it better than anybody, and I’m gonna do that extra rep, because I’m gonna be Jacob Black.’”

…on if he’s considered getting his own place:“Um, you know, not so much. There’s really no point. I’m so busy. I really haven’t thought about it…. The thing I love is that my home life hasn’t changed. I still help out with the garbage. I still help out with the lawn.”

…on being careful about his rep as a “beefcake”:

“Originally I was supposed to take off my shirt. The script [of "Valentine's Day"] said we were walking into school and Willy takes off his shirt. I said, ‘Whoa, whoa, whoa. Time out. He’s gonna take off his shirt in the middle of school? No, no, no. The reason I took off my shirt for New Moon is because it’s written in the book that way. And there’s reasons behind it.

The fabulous trio were promoting their hit show The Vampire Diaries and were greeted by a raucous crowd (chanting “Ian! Ian! Ian!”) as they arrived.
