The 2012 Grammy Awards are upon us and it’s time for GossipTeen fans to weigh in on who will be taking home the coveted “Album of the Year” gramophone.  The five nominees run the gambit from rock to hip hop to pop to well… whatever it is that Lady Gaga does, and we think this year’s vote is going to be closer than ever!

Hip hop diva Rihanna flashed her latest ink via Twitter earlier today, tweeting,

All these b*tches screaming that 2pac back #THUGLIFE

Yeah, I have absolutely no idea what that means.  I guess it’s somehow a reference to the fact that she now has the same tattoo on her hands, that Tupac had on his stomach?  Why she chose to use that collection of words to express that message – I’m not sure…

The 23-year-old singer, who’s recently been rumored to be sneaking around with ex-BF (and notorious scumbag) Chris Brown, is no stranger to the needle – the knuckle tats bring Riahnna’s tattoo tally to a whopping 15!

Sources have revealed that former hiphop lovebirds Rihanna and Chris Brown have rekindled their romance and have been sneaking around together for the last year.

Rihanna loves to live dangerously… [H]ooking up with Chris is all part of that.

Living dangerously – you have to be alive to live dangerously girl.  Do you not remember what that boy did to your face three years ago???

Apparently, these two have been meeting up casually and taking time out to see each other whenever they are both in L.A.  According to another insider,

They can’t get enough of each other. I don’t see it ending well.

Not to be crass, but – DUH!  Someone needs to talk some sense into this chick and quick!

Pop star Rihanna debuted her latest look during Saturday night’s Jingle Bell Ball Concert in jolly old London, England.  The sultry songstress looked chic in her new cropped blonde locks and blunt bangs as she rang in the holiday season, rocking out in front of a sell-out crowd at the 02 Arena.

The 23-year-old ‘Make it Rain’ singer, closed out the show with a slammin’ performance (per usual) and eye-popping, ultra-modern fashion that featured fishnet stockings, a crop-top and a houndstooth sweater tied around her weight.  Not a combo you see everyday…or ever.

GossipTeen Pick:  Adele should get the nod on this one, but I have a sneaking suspicion that Gaga will be walking away the winner of AOY.

GossipTeen Pick:  SUCH a tough call.  For me, it’s a toss up between Bon Iver’s “Holocene” and Mumford & Sons’ ”The Cave”, but with “Rolling in the Deep’s” huge radio success, Adele  will most likely be the victor for ROY.

GossipTeen Pick:  Personally, I love ALL of these albums and if it were up to me, I’d give the award to Bruno Mars, just because I love, love, love his sound, BUT my prediction is that the gramophone will go to “Born This Way”.

GossipTeen Pick:  I’m not overwhelmed by the rock category this year.  If I had to choose, which I do for the sake of this post, I’d go with Jeff Beck’s ”Rock ‘n’ Roll Party Honoring Les Paul”, just because he’s reDICULOUSLY talented – but truthfully, none of the nominees blew me away this go-around.

R&B Album:

“F.A.M.E.,” Chris Brown

“Second Chance,” El DeBarge

“Love Letter,” R. Kelly

“Pieces of Me,” Ledisi

“Kelly,” Kelly Price.

GossipTeen Pick:  All I can say, is that if Chris Brown wins, I quit life.  But seriously, the nod should go to Kelly Price for “Kelly”.

“Lasers,” Lupe Fiasco

GossipTeen Pick: It’s either going to be “Watch the Throne” or “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy”.  Either way Kanye West comes out a winner, so his ego should be about the size of mainland China by the end of the night.

Country Album:

GossipTeen Pick:  Again, totally underwhelmed by the nominees this year for Country Album of the Year.  The safe pick would be to go with Taylor Swift, but hopefully Lady Antebellum’s “Own the Night” will walk away a winner.

The 2012 Grammy Awards air on CBS on February 12, 2012.

Rihanna and her flaming red hair take the September issue of Glamour and turn up the volume on the color. Her bright crimson hair contrasting with the bold fuchsia pink typeface make for an unusual attention grabbing cover.

The singer gives the mag her take on style, perfection and drama and how her friendship with Katy Perry:

On style: “Getting dressed, I want to pick the most bizarre pair of shorts so I can figure out how to make it look right, or work an outfit that will make people go, “What the hell is she wearing?”

On hating drama . . . and perfection: “I hate drama. But at the same time, nothing bothers me more than when life’s perfect. And that’s the sick part. I just love a challenge, whether it’s a relationship, my career, clothing . . . ”

On her friendship with Katy Perry: “All my friends are guys, to be completely honest. But when I met her, it was such a breath of fresh air. I just couldn’t believe this chick had no edit button. . . . Katy and Lady Gaga came out of the gate exactly the way they think, the way they wanna dress, the way they wanna speak.”

Justin Bieber has recorded a song with Chris Brown and Brown sent the word out on twitter that it’s about to drop:

“ME and @justinbieber got a BANGER/SMASH record for all the fans out there at the top of the NEW YEAR!!! 2011.”

Bieber had dropped the duet tip back in October on his twitter saying:

“Kinda hyped rt now. for a new single teamed up with one of my friends and an artist I used to sing covers of on youtube. BIG RECORD. SMASH!!” He then tweeted a video of himself covering Brown’s “With You.”

This could be some serious rehab for Brown’s very tarnished image but could it hurt Bieber’s?

Brown plead guilty to assaulting singer Rihanna in June of 2009. He has successfully completed his community service and the court-ordered domestic violence program but will be on probation for 3 1/2 more years.

Giving credit where credit is due, Brown did step up and took responsibility for his actions and has done everything he’s been asked by the court. He’s kept out of trouble, but what he did to Rihanna was awful.

So the questions remain: Is it time to let him off the hook? Are you OK with Justin choosing to record with Brown?

Rihanna reveled in red lace on the red carpet of the 2010 American Music Awards held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles on Sunday night, November 21st.

Wearing her fire engine red hair in curls and a long Elie Saab lacy dress, Rihanna played in unusually understated as she headed inside to get to work on her performance of the night. Rihanna looked amazing in this dress!

RiRi did take home an award for the evening – Favorite Female Artist, Soul/R&B!

Daniel Radcliffe gave a wonderful performance by singing the entire table of the periodic elements for his appearance on The Graham Norton Show. “The Elements” was written by lyrical satirist Tom Lehrer who Radcliffe called “kind of my hero.”

This makes me want to see him in the Broadway musical How To Succeed in Business (Without Really Trying) all the more.

Taylor Momsen has spent the past few days defending her comments to Spin magazine where she seemed to slam Rihanna. The Pretty Reckless singer was quoted as saying:

“People think pop is rock, and the lines are getting blurred. Now Rihanna‘s wearing f– leather jackets, and it’s really annoying.”

While claiming she was miss quoted (I think it would’ve been more accurate to say miss understood) Momsen and the band appeared on Radio 1′s Live Lounge and covered the Rihanna/Eminem song “Love The Way You Lie.”

I don’t think she was taking a shot at Rihanna – I think she just wanted to point out that it used to be pretty clear what a band or musician was about by looking at the way they presented or styled themselves. Say what you want about Taylor, her mouth, her style or her ability to get herself into trouble but this cover is great.
