Fans of Twilight heartthrob Robert Pattinson better hang on to their fake vampire fangs, because a brand new RPats is coming to Tinsel Town.

In an interview for the special Cannes Film Fesitval issue of Premiere Magazine, the 25-year-old Brit dished about what it was like to dig in and test his acting chops, working with Cosmopolis director David Cronenberg.

Filming Cosmopolis with David changed something in me… It gave me balls. I have five projects lined up right now that follow the path that movie opened for me. Before, I spent my time doubting myself. As soon as I read a script that I liked, I was working myself up, asking myself if I was good enough. Now, I tell myself: ‘F-ck it! If they want to hire you, go!

We love this new brash and brazen version Robert and are totally psyched about catching Cosmopolis after it premieres at Cannes, later this month!

Twilight heartthrob Robert Pattinson is currently promoting the new Twilight Saga movie, “New Moon”, and, of course, most questions during those awfully long promotional interviews are about his relationship with co-star Kristen Stewart (watch Robert Pattinson HitFix Interview).

You had a lot of passionate kissing scenes in the movie, is it difficult to get in the mode when you’re surrounded by so many people during shooting?
Rob Pattz: “Yeah… anything that has to do with pure, pure physical stuff is always quite difficult cause you…Always the kisses in Twilight or anything kind of intimate is such a massive part of the story, that it’s you have to tell a story within that and so even in the first one there was quite complicated scenes and they are always a really pivotal moment there is never…maybe there is one kiss in New Moon; right at the beginning where there is one kiss and there is nothing to it, it’s just that a normal kiss. But all the other times it’s always about either getting reunited with someone or leaving, I guess.”

We don’t think Robert and Kristen have any problem doing very passionate kissing scenes. On the other hand, Robert likes to get involved in the creative process even if he really doesn’t know what he is doing!

What was your favorite scene to shoot?
Rob Pattz: “I really like the scene just before the breakup scene, the night before the breakup scene right in front of Bella’s house. Mainly because we kinda re-wrote the whole thing on the night doing it and it was just from the kind of feel of what felt right and it really showed how great Chris [Weitz, the director] is; cause we finished the scene and I went up to Chris and I said I wish we said something else, and then they changed all the lighting around and we did it again and Kristen ended up saying a new line perfectly, which I cannot say but I felt it was the right line to say and that was kind of amazing.”

Twilight heartthrob Robert Pattinson talks about Kristen Stewart and admits they have great chemistry on screen but claims most of the rumors are just ridiculous. In the Vanity Fair interview, Rob says they do not have secret dates, which doesn’t exactly mean they aren’t dating, and that they learned how to respect each other.

Rob said, “It doesn’t make any difference what you say [to the tabloids]. I’ve literally been across the country [from Kristen], and it’s like ‘Oh, they were on secret dates!’ It’s like ‘Where? I can’t get out of my hotel room!’”

Actor Robert Pattinson and his piercing vampire-eyes cover the latest issue of USA Weekend. The 23 year-old talks about his character, seductive vampire Edward Cullen, the craziness that is his Twilight fame is passion for music.

Here are some highlights of Rob Pattz’s USA Weekend interview:

On his character, Edward Cullen: “In some ways, he’s more relaxed being around humans, and at the same time, he’s competing a lot more with Jacob [played by Taylor Lautner] so he has a lot more petty emotions rather than just thinking in these absolutes like he did in the first two. I’m just trying to keep it interesting for myself as well.”

On what life will be like after Twilight: “I’ve just been so tightly bound. I did another movie in New York over the summer, and it was so tightly bound to Twilight. You have huge groups of fans and paparazzi and stuff, and it was a tiny little indie. It still felt like I was doing a Twilight movie in a lot of ways. It’ll be interesting to see how I’ll feel about the whole thing a couple years after it’s all finished.”

On escaping through his music: “It’s nice to have a bit of artistic or creative endeavor that isn’t so pressurized. So many people have an opinion, especially when you’re doing the Twilight movies. Making this movie, it’s almost as if people have become more concerned with what the fans want the more successful it becomes. The first one seemed more relaxed than this one, and that one wasn’t particularly relaxed. But it’s nice to do music where no one’s too concerned with what I’m doing with it. It’s kind of a relief.”

Actor Robert Pattinson finally opens up about being a part of the big success that his Twilight, Kristen Stewart, obsessed fans and the perfection that is his character Edward Cullen.

Nope, Robert doesn’t confess his love for Kristen but he assumes he only went to the Twilight auditions to meet her just because he was so fascinated with her role in the movie “Into The Wild”.

This is probably Robert’s most interesting interview ever. Here are the highlights:

Did you have any idea what you were in store for when you signed up for Twilight? “No way. I read the script and I barely even knew that they were books too. The only reason I went to the audition was to see Kristen, because I’d just seen Into The Wild.”

Are you saying you had a little bit of a crush on her? “Of course! No, we are just very good friends.”

But there have been a lot of rumours about you two… “I know – but honestly, we are just friends.”

Do you have a girlfriend? “No, no. I am young, free and single.”

What do you look for in a lady? “I like people being forward. Gosh, I don’t know. I like strong people, chiselled abs… I don’t know, I take what I can get!”
