Kristen Stewart ‘Snow White & The Huntsman’ Bound?
Written by Violet on January 27, 2011 – 8:01 am -Kristen Stewart is rumored to be in the lead for a new version on a classic.
Snow White and The Huntsman is promising to be a dark, sinister tale of the Brothers Grimm story (not at all similar to Disney’s seven singing dwarfs version) and Stewart just might be the next Snow White.
Rupert Sanders is directing this tale of an assassin (the Huntsman) hired to kill Snow but he instead trains her to fight the Evil Queen.
Her costar from the upcoming film On The Road, Viggo Mortensen is in negotiations for the Huntsman and Charlize Theron is cast as the Evil Queen but the lead actress is still missing.
Besides Stewart, Riley Keough (her Runaways costar) Bella Heathcote and Sucker Punch’s Emily Browning are all in the running for the coveted part.

Aly Michalka Is Glam & Gorgeous For OK! Magazine
Written by Violet on December 26, 2010 – 2:19 pm -Aly Michalka is simply gorgeous in OK! magazine’s “Dresses That Get You Noticed” photo shoot. Aly dons a purple dress with black lace overlay from GUESS and looks like she’s ready for a New Year’s Eve bash. Michalka tells the mag:
Do you have a kiss planned for midnight this New Year’s Eve?
I’ll probably be in L.A., and I have somebody who is not in L.A., so I’ll have to wait until after New Year’s. But that’s all right. What are you going to be doing on New Year’s Eve?
I’m probably going to see friends and go to a party. I think it’s important to be around people you care about to start out your new year with positive influences. Plan your year wisely — it’s a brand-new start! should be sleek, not bulky. Go for bias cuts and bod-skimming silhouettes.
Aly returns with Hellcats cast on Tuesday January 25th.

Malese Jow: Could She Be Katniss In ‘The Hunger Games’ Movie?
Written by Violet on October 29, 2010 – 8:27 pm -The Hunger Games trilogy of books is finally getting it’s due and is going to be on the big screen in 2012. The lead role of Katniss Everdeen is highly sought after for any up and coming actress and is totally up for grabs.
Online sites have circulated the news that actresses Chloe Moretz of Let Me In, her Kick-Ass costar Lyndsy Fonseca (now on the CW’s Nikita) and Skins star Kaya Scodelario have been sent the script but another name is being tossed around: Malese Jow. The Vampire Diaries actress has gained quite a following since her character’s untimely death at the end of season 1 on the TV show as the beloved vampire Anna. Jow is a huge fan of the books and wants in on the casting. MTV’s Hollywood Crush caught up with Jow and asked Malese for her take on the role:
Why do you think you would be good for the part of Katniss?
I’m going to sound like I’m tooting my own horn! Looks-wise, I think I’m good for it. When people first meet me, they’re always like, ‘What are you?’ as far as ethnicity. And I’ve been pegged as ‘ethnically ambiguous.’ I think the years the “Hunger Games” takes place, everyone is going be ethnically ambiguous. Everyone is going to have some exotic flavor to them. Slap some gray contacts on me, and I’m good to go.As far as portraying Katniss and her strength, I feel like with “Vampire Diaries,” I got a lot of experience dabbling in that, and proving to people that I could pull that off. And I’ve grown so much since then. So I can only imagine what I could do if I was presented with the role of Katniss. I would do my absolute best. I would give it 2,000 percent for everyone. I know there are some die-hard fans out there.
Do you visit the fan sites?
I don’t have to go out and look for it. On Twitter and stuff, people have petitions going on that I see by default—things that are sent to me saying, ‘Oh my gosh! I want you as Katniss.’ The fan support for that is great. I feel like, online, I’m a pretty strong contender as far as who the fans want as Katniss, which is very encouraging. I think when it comes to something like this, a book series being turned into a movie, I think the people behind it should look to the fans and who they want. They’re the ones who’ve read it. They know Katniss; they know her personally. And for them to have favorites, that should definitely be considered.
I have to say, as a fan of the books (Suzanne Collins is fantastic!) this could be great. While I like Moretz as an actress, I just don’t see her as Katniss (Prim, perhaps – although I’m partial to Elle Fanning taking that part) and Fonseca is just too old to play 17. Scodelario has been a fan favorite for a long time, but I really like the idea of Malese taking on the Capitol and President Snow.
What do you think? Is Malese a good fit for the girl who outsmarts the political establishment? Who do you want for Katniss? Sound off below!

Katerina Graham Dishes Music, ‘Honey 2′ & ‘The Vampire Diaries’
Written by Violet on July 9, 2010 – 7:57 pm -
Katerina Graham is riding a fantastic wave right now. Her first single, “Sassy” off her upcoming debut album is a hit on iTunes, she landed the lead in Honey 2 for the big screen and she is the witch who’s gonna bring it to the vamps in season 2 of The Vampire Diaries. The NY Post has a great interview with Graham and she gives up lots of deets:
On “Sassy” as the first song: “I like to see what the fans like and what they’re gravitating towards – “Sassy” was on the blogs and I was pushing it independently — I noticed it getting all this traction, so the fans decided – at least in my mind – “Sassy” would be the first single, or the first official song from me as an artist.”
On her role in Honey 2: “But what I love about this script is it’s grimier, it’s grittier. It’s about this Puerto Rican chick from Brooklyn that is just getting out of juvie. Her dancing is tougher, her life is tougher — she has more to lose and everything to win. This girl’s fight was what drew me to the movie. I had to get that story out, I had to do that character. Our “Honey” is very different. The first one set an incredible bar, but I believe we raise it.”
On Bonnie kicking some undead butt in season 2 of TVD: “I will say that Bonnie is really, really tough in the first episode back. She is not playing around. Bonnie will eff you up if you mess with her! She is also going to have to deal with Katherine. And that’s a whole new beast. Literally.”
Can’t wait. Katerina is great.

Nick Jonas Extends His London Stage Time
Written by Violet on July 9, 2010 – 7:29 pm -
Nick Jonas’ performance in the West End production of Les Miserables is so successful, the young actor is extending his run until July 24th – two weeks longer than originally planned.
NJ is serious about honing his acting skills: “Broadway was where I first started finding my voice as an artist and finding my feet as an actor, and the idea of returning to ‘Les Miz’ was about trying to develop more as an actor.”
After his stage time comes to an end, he will be touring with The Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato for Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam.

Taylor Lautner Action Flick Bidding War
Written by Violet on February 15, 2010 – 7:59 am -Taylor Lautner is potentially the hottest young actor to come out of The Twilight Saga franchise. As much as everyone now talks about Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart when it comes to movie projects, Lautner is securing one heck of a commercial future for himself. With starring roles in Cancun, the Max Steel and Stretch Armstrong action hero adaptations, and Northern Lights, (not costarring Tom Cruise however) the actor who just turned 18 is attached to star in Abduction (a Jason Bourne identity in question kind of role) and that pic is up for a bidding war between at least two studios. The big question remains, Lautner is unproven beyond Twilight for bringing an audience to the theater. Will these movies even get made? Is this all just hype for the actor?
Let’s hear what you think – will you go see Taylor Lautner in any of these films? After Twilight is done, do you think you’ll still be interested in him as a character other than Jacob Black?

Joe Jonas Wants Bond Film Role
Written by Violet on January 8, 2010 – 11:25 pm -With Kevin Jonas getting married and Nick Jonas off doing his music thing with his new band, The Administration, Joe Jonas has been fairly quiet. As Camp Rock 2 pics and promos are starting to come out, Joe is talking more about an acting career, specifically how he’d love a part in a James Bond movie.
“I’m willing to read for anything. Acting is something I love and I want to do it all. It would be an awesome dream to get a part in a James Bond movie. We’re big fans of Daniel Craig. DC is the best and it would be an honor. It’s a prestigious film series.”
Joe was going to be part of the ensemble movie Valentine’s Day, with Emma Roberts, Taylor Lautner and his ex – Taylor Swift, however scheduling just couldn’t be worked out.

Kristen Stewart Joins The Marines in ‘An American Girl’
Written by Violet on October 6, 2009 – 6:37 am -Kristen Stewart may have another project up her sleeve shortly. The Twilight actress is reportedly ready to sign on to star in An American Girl. Actor James Woods is directing the script and gives this summary of the plot:
“It’s about a young woman who is really destructive. It’s that magical time right after you’re out of high school. She was the top swimmer and dive champion in school. Now it’s a year later and she lives in a little town in Indiana and the place is dying, she’s working in a grocery store and drinking and drugging too much and she’s showing off in front of this guy who likes her, and gets involved in a big sex thing with two guys drunk one night at a quarry. She gets taped doing it on somebody’s phone and in a small town, her reputation is ruined and on a drunken whim, she joins the Marines, which is ridiculous.
Stewart has had quite a number of projects in the past couple of years, including Adventureland with Jesse Eisenberg, The Runaways with Dakota Fanning and of course, The Twilight Saga films. Woods believes this project will earn Stewart an Oscar nomination. That’s a pretty bold statement.

For his role in the upcoming film, The Death & Life of Charlie St. Cloud, Zac Efron has been seen sporting a new shorter haircut. Here is Zac and girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens out for a bite to eat at Panera in Studio City, CA. I really like the new cut – very hot!
