Hayden Panettiere and Nikki Reed are teaming up for Downers Grove, a high school drama of love, death and excess to be penned by Bret Easton Ellis.

The movie will be set in a high school in the Chicago suburb where every year, one senior dies a bizarre death before the end of the school year. Panettiere’s character fears that she’s the next victim.

The Scream 4 and Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn actresses will costar with Rebecca DeMornay. Filming will begin in spring 2011 in Louisiana.

Abigail Breslin’s name has been thrown into the casting possibilities for Garry Marshall’s New Year’s Eve, the sequel to Valentine’s Day. Breslin is just one of many rumored to be offered a part in the romantic comedy that has intersecting love stories themed to the holiday. Zac Efron, Justin Bieber and Glee’s Lea Michele may all be part of the future flick.

I think an Abigail and Justin storyline would be interesting and cute.

Last time around, Valentine’s Day starred Taylor Lautner, Taylor Swift and Emma Roberts and was a hit and sparked the Taylor Squared romance.

One of the most anticipated plot lines for Glee’s second season is Kurt’s (played by Chris Colfer) boyfriend. When Chord Overstreet was cast as a new football player for McKinley High, the rumor mill kicked into high gear – the plot was supposedly to have Overstreet’s Sam as Kurt’s boyfriend and the two would be Homecoming King and King. That looks more and more unlikely as Colfer has told press that there is no romance for the duo in the first four episodes.

EW is reporting that Darren Criss is joining the show as Blaine, a rival show choir member and strike up a friendship with Kurt. However, the word is this is just a friendship for now, but it could, maybe, possibly, somewhere in the future be the couple everyone is hoping for.

Show creator Ryan Murphy is stringing us along but I can’t wait to see how this turns out.

Emma Stone’s latest movie Easy A is gaining momentum and buzz as it nears it’s opening weekend of September 17th. Stone plays Olive, a high school girl who uses the rumor mill to gain popularity but it begins to backfire on her. Actress Demi Lovato never really got over her break up with her best friend and boyfriend Joe Jonas. In fact, Demi is reportedly doing everything she can to rekindle their romance and she had a major break down at a party last week.

“She just wouldn’t stop crying. It’s like it all just hit her at once. She kept saying how much she misses him, and how she wants him back… It was crazy how emotional she was,” a Demi pal divulges. “She puts on a good front that everything is okay, but in reality she’s obviously still hurting. It’s sad, but we know she will get through it.”

Aw! We really thought Joe and Demi were just perfect for each other. We wish Joe would give her another chance to make things right. The Jonas Brothers and Demi are getting ready to go on tour together to promote their new movie, “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam”.

The two will still be hitting the road together this summer with their “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam” world tour, which starts in Dallas on July 27. So sad, so awkward. According to some sources, Jemi broke up because Joe did not like the way Demi was always talking to the press about their relationship.

And there’s more. Other not-so-reliable sources even claim Joe’s father was the one to break up with Demi for Joe and he did it over the phone. OMG! We hope this is not true. Poor Demi!

Taylor Lautner is gay!! At least that is the latest absolutely ridiculous rumor being spread all over the WWW. Our Twilight hunk reportedly attended a party thrown by X-Men director Bryan Singer, who is openly gay, at his home last week. Taylor allegedly spent a few hours there, so that can only mean he is gay too! Right? WRONG!

A source told LimeLife, “Taylor is the new great gay hope. Ricky Martin coming out is about as exciting to the gay community as Larry King posing naked in Playgirl. The mere thought of Taylor Lautner being gay is what gay men everywhere are dreaming about.”

Seriously? I wonder why straight people can’t have gay friends and socialize with them!?! It doesn’t make sense. Taylor is not a gay icon! Please! He is one of the biggest teen icons of our time thanks to the fantastic “Twi-hard” fans!
