We were devastated to learn that Hollywood super couple Juliane Hough and Ryan Seacrest pulled the plug on their two-year relationship – they were so perfect together!

But now that the dust has settled and we’ve had time to collect our thoughts, we’re left with one nagging question: Why?

According to a source close to the pair, Juliane simply couldn’t handle her beau’s hectic working schedule anymore.

Dude works all the time… He never sleeps.

We believe that!  Between American Idol, On-Air with Ryan Seacrest and his all of his duties over at E!, we can hardly believe Ryan finds the time to breathe!

The source continued,

It’s a lifestyle she couldn’t handle anymore. Work always, always came first [for Ryan] She wants a more lowkey life.

Even before the breakup, Juliane herself admitted that their combined work schedules made it difficult for them to find time to spend together.  When asked whether her man was able to stop by the set of her latest film Safe Haven often, the former Dancing with the Stars dancers replied simply,

We were working really hard, so we were really focused, but he came by a few times.

In a very poignant moment on last night’s episode of American Idol, host Ryan Seacrest reached into his coat pocket for, what appeared to be, an engagement ring for longtime girlfriend and Footloose star Julianne Hough.

However, rather than popping “the” question, Seacrest asked his GF if she could pass along a handwritten note to her Rock of Ages costar Tom Cruise.

[Julianne] there’s something that’s been on my mind for a while… It’s a question I’ve been meaning to ask you and I don’t want you to feel uncomfortable…Will you…give this note I wrote to Tom Cruise? I’m such a big fan — I loved him in Cocktail…

Good one Ryan!

Although Julianne seemed relieved that her beau wasn’t getting down on one knee on national television, it sure made us wonder…  Is marriage on the horizon for this adorable couple?

We hope so – they would make the most beautiful little babies!

The premiere date for FOX’s mega-successfull reality hit, American Idol was announced earlier today and it looks like we only have to wait a little over a month to get our fix!  Host Ryan Seacrest, and judges Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson will be back January 18th, 19th AND 22nd with a three-part A.I. premiere.

Woo-hoo!
