‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ Epic New Trailer
Written by Violet on September 26, 2010 – 10:27 pm -Warner Bros released a new trailer for Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 1 earlier this week and WOW! does it look amazing! This trailer gives a fantastic preview of the epic battles we will see on screen in November. The official synopsis:
Part 1 begins as Harry, Ron and Hermione set out on their perilous mission to track down and destroy the secret to Voldemort’s immortality and destruction—the Horcruxes. On their own, without the guidance of their professors or the protection of Professor Dumbledore, the three friends must now rely on one another more than ever. But there are Dark Forces in their midst that threaten to tear them apart.
Meanwhile, the wizarding world has become a dangerous place for all enemies of the Dark Lord. The long-feared war has begun and Voldemort’s Death Eaters seize control of the Ministry of Magic and even Hogwarts, terrorizing and arresting anyone who might oppose them. But the one prize they still seek is the one most valuable to Voldemort: Harry Potter. The Chosen One has become the hunted one as the Death Eaters search for Harry with orders to bring him to Voldemort…alive.
Harry’s only hope is to find the Horcruxes before Voldemort finds him. But as he searches for clues, he uncovers an old and almost forgotten tale—the legend of the Deathly Hallows. And if the legend turns out to be true, it could give Voldemort the ultimate he seeks.
Little does Harry know that his future has already been decided by his past when, on that fateful day, he became “the Boy Who Lived.” No longer just a boy, Harry Potter is drawing ever closer to the task for which he has been preparing since the day he first stepped into Hogwarts: the ultimate battle with Voldemort.

Daniel Radcliffe’s New Horizons
Written by Violet on July 30, 2010 – 7:48 pm -Gaining acceptance in roles other than as Harry Potter is something that is clearly on Daniel Radcliffe’s mind at the moment. The just turned 21 year old has spent a decade as one of the most recognized literary-turned-big-screen wizards in the world wide phenomenon created by author J.K. Rowling and brought to film by Warner Bros. Feeling adrift after filming ended, the talented actor is keeping busy to ward off getting the blues:
“Working is how I will best get through a very weird time,” Radcliffe said. “I know it’s the most constructive thing I can do because otherwise I’d be moping around and being a bit like, ‘Oh, I miss everyone … ’ So I’m quite pleased to go on to the next thing and the next challenge.”
Thankfully for Radcliffe, he has a lot of great projects lined up for quite a while. A return to the stage for the Broadway revival of the musical How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying is his first theater gig post HP.
He is also signed on for three flicks: a gothic Victorian horror/suspense film The Woman In Black; a modern version of the classic All Quiet on the Western Front and The Journey Is The Destination - the story of Dan Eldon, the young British photojournalist who was killed in Mogadishu covering the civil war and devastating famine of Somalia in 1993.
Radcliffe has signed on to a diverse set of material that should transition him into older roles and keep him from being typecast. I am particularly interested in the Eldon movie. It is an amazing story of a young man who was just reaching his potential when his life was cut short.
I absolutely enjoy everything in the Harry Potter universe, but I hope to see more of Radcliffe and his talented costars Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, Bonnie Wright and Tom Felton in the future.

New Scene Added for ‘Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows’
Written by Violet on August 13, 2009 – 6:49 pm -While the talk is all about ‘Twilight/New Moon/Eclipse’ lately, we can’t forget the Harry Potter saga is coming to an end soon and cast and crew are hard at work filming the final installment. ‘Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows’ is book seven in the series and reports are coming in that a new scene, not from the book, is being added to the movie to showcase the continuing battle between good magic and evil wizards. The video above shows the burned out trailers that the Death Eaters have attacked and Hermoine (Emma Watson) and Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) arrive too late to help.
This is a first I believe, completely new content not from any of JK Rowling’s writings or books. Check out the youtube while it lasts, with unauthorized David Bowie music, it will most likely be pulled.
The final book will be made into two movies, part one premieres November 2010 and part two in July 2011.

Rupert Grint Felled By Swine Flu
Written by Violet on July 4, 2009 – 5:57 pm -
Getting hit with a mild case of swine flu, Harry Potter actor Rupert Grint has had to postpone working on the latest film while he recovers. Scenes for the seventh and final chapter of the JK Rowling book, The Deathly Hallows, that did not involve Grint’s Ron Weasley character were shot so the movie was not interrupted. The actor is no longer contagious and will appear for the press tour and premieres as the sixth film – Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince – is opening world wide in the coming weeks.
