Actor Shia LaBeouf was in a car accident almost one year ago and broke his left hand. The Transformers star is now talking about the extent of the damage and how he has a lasting reminder of the terrible crash.

“I’ve had screws and plates put in. They put a screw in one of my knuckles. And they shaved a piece of bone off my hip and made a finger out of it.

“I’m on my third surgery. That’s coming up… My middle finger is still crooked as a f–king noodle, so they’ve gotta straighten it out and put a screw in it.”

He will only have about 80 percent use of his left hand when all is said and done. He has had to drop out of at least one potential film due to surgery for his hand. Let’s hope this is it for the actor and he can continue to make more movies.

He has enough money to hire himself a car and be driven everywhere he needs to go, so actor Shia LaBeouf probably won’t be terribly inconvienced that he has a suspended driver’s license for 1 year.

The Transformers actor was involved in an accident July 27th 2008. The other car had reportedly run a red light, however, LaBeouf refused to submit to a chemical/field sobriety test and was placed under arrest by the LA County Sherriff’s Department.

[...]the DA’s office had said that prosecutors instead wanted to file criminal charges against the driver of the other car, who had run a red light.

A Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Sgt. S. Wolf did tell the Associated Press back in July that officers on the spot found it “immediately apparent” that LaBeouf was intoxicated, and then he was placed under arrest.

With conflicting information on who was at fault, it seems that LaBeouf will have to have others drive him for a while. The actor is recovering from surgery to his hand, to repair damage done from another accident.

Indiana Jones and Transformers hottie Shia LaBeouf has dropped out of his latest film because his thumb still needs more surgery. Last summer LaBeouf was involved in a car accident and badly damaged his hand. He has had surgery but apparently the injury is worse than originally thought. While he just wrapped up Transformers 2 and his hand problem was written into the script, it seems that it won’t be possible to keep putting off a corrective operation and LaBeouf is now out of Dark Fields. Let’s hope Shia will be back in big screen action soon.
