‘Twilight’ star Robert Pattinson has a busy year ahead of him. With the vampire sequel ‘New Moon’ scheduled to start filming and his latest movie ‘Little Ashes’  both happening in March 2009 and an (as yet) uncomfirmed role in ‘Ohio,’  the in demand actor may be headed to London’s West End theater district. David Pugh, the producer who brought Daniel Radcliffe to the live stage in the revival of Equus, has confirmed to Variety that he will be developing something with Pattinson for the year 2010. It is the perfect time for him to expand his acting career to theater if he wants.

If you can’t get enough of Edward Cullen and Bella Swan kissing (or watching Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart’s on-screen chemistry!) then Sumit Entertainment has just the thing for you. With the release of ‘Twilight’ on DVD March 21st, director Catherine Hardwicke spilled the beans about some of the deleted stuff that will show up for home viewing. More make-out scenes! If 16 year-old Frances Bean Cobain’s mom, Courtney Love, has anything to say about it, her daughter will get a parent approved hook-up with ‘Twilight’  hottie Robert Pattinson, 22.

Frances is said to have fallen for London-born Robert and mum is playing matchmaker.

‘Courtney thinks he’s charming and handsome and absolutely has to be Frances’s first date,’ says a source.

‘She’s doing everything she can to engineer another meeting.’

Apparently Love is looking for a home in England and also a british guy for her daughter. Let’s see if her matchmaking skills are as good as her songwriting.

Yep it’s official. Stephanie Meyer, the author of the mega successful ‘Twilight’ series has confirmed on her website that actor Taylor Lautner will be reprising his role as Jacob the Werewolf for the second installment in the series. ‘New Moon’ director, Chris Weitz and Meyer have this to say:

Good news about New Moon from director Chris Weitz:

I’m very happy to announce that Taylor Lautner will be playing Jacob Black in New Moon and that he’s doing so with the enthusiastic support of Summit Entertainment, the producers, and Stephenie Meyer.

The characters in Stephenie’s books go through extraordinary changes of circumstance and also appearance; so it is not surprising that there has been speculation about whether the same actor would portray a character who changes in so many surprising ways throughout the series. But it was my first instinct that Taylor was, is, and should be Jacob, and that the books would be best served by the actor who is emotionally right for the part. I think that fans of Twilight the book and the movie will be surprised by the Jacob Black that Taylor will bring to the screen in New Moon; and I’m looking forward to working with him and the rest of the cast in realizing the film.

I’d just like to add that I was very much a part of this decision. My first priority was always what was best for New Moon—what was going to give us the best possible movie. I’m truly thrilled that Taylor was the one who proved to the director, to Summit, and to me that he is the best possible Jacob we could have. And I’m very much looking forward to seeing what he’s going to bring to Jacob’s character this year.

So finally, we have an answer. Team Lautner wins! He must be pleased that all his hard work has paid off. Congratulations Taylor! Michael Copon will just have to find other film roles.

Here is an interview with our favorite ‘Twilight’  vampire Robert Pattinson. He still has his shaggy bedhead hair, so it’s was done just before christmas. It’s very cute to hear him laugh at the ‘sexy vampiro’ comment from the interviewer. Enjoy.
