Forks, Washington is the setting to the very popular fictional series Twilight and now the residents of said Northwestern town may have their own reality show. I just have nothing to say except well, honestly – why? Didn’t the documentary cover whatever we needed to know about a small town with major media issues?

What’s next: MTV’s Real World Forks, WA? UGH! Stop already!

Twilight author Stephanie Meyers had given this interview to MTV in July of 2008 and I thought I’d bring it back and open up the debate about how many Twilight Saga movies there should be. As you can see, Meyers is a firm believer in having two films for Breaking Dawn, instead of just one. Check out her comments in the interview above.

A little over a week ago, newly hired actor Boo Boo Stewart (for the part of Seth Clearwater) put his young foot in his mouth when he opened up regarding a fifth movie for the Twilight franchise. Summit Entertainment executives quickly denied his statement and said the actor was “unfortunately uninformed and not accurate.” The studio did mention working with Meyers on the fourth book of the series: Breaking Dawn. It did sound a little like this does leave room for splitting the final epic into two movies, it wasn’t a total denial of the possibility of “doing a Harry Potter” on the end film (they did not say only four would be made) and giving fans two chances to say good-bye to the characters they’ve come to grow so attached to (and giving the studio a chance to milk more money out of moviegoers.)

Who knows how this will end, but they must be working on the script for BD soon. With Eclipse filming in Vancouver now, that would put Dawn on target for a February/March shooting schedule. Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and Dakota Fanning in particular are such in demand actors, everything needs to be finalized quickly.

Sexy Columbian singer Shakira is a fan of ‘Twilight’ and thinks that joining musical super forces with Robert Pattinson would be just swell.

And Shakira insists she’d love to duet with Pattinson, who played piano and recorded vocals for two songs on the “Twilight” soundtrack: “I’ve heard he’s a great singer and a great musician. If those rumors are true – yeah, of course, why not?”

Shakira became a fan of the Stephanie Meyers books when the president of her music label told her to check it out. Now she wants to spend time with Robert like every other female on the planet.

With ‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’  hitting theaters November 20th, is it any wonder there hasn’t been a complete make-up introduced yet? Well, wait no more. Twilight Beauty is the creation of Cristina Bartolucci, founder of DuWop Brand cosmetics and the formulas to be sold, will also be worn on screen by the cast.

‘New Moon’  may have just begun filming in Canada, but the pictures of the cast strolling around town just keep coming. Here is Taylor Lautner and Edi Gathegi having a guys afternoon off – hanging out and killin’ time. Team Jacob is coming on strong!

While filming is just getting under way for the ‘Twilight’  sequel, ‘New Moon’  more casting news is coming out about who will play the italian Volturi vampire clan. British newcomer Jamie Campbell-Bower has the golden ticket to teen fame now that he has been chosen for the role of Caius, leader of the Volturi.

Speaking to the BBC, Campbell-Bower said: “You’re the first people I’ve told” he said. “Shooting has already started, and I’m going over in June.”

He has had roles in Sweeney Todd with Johnny Depp and Guy Ritchie’s RocknRolla, and will be in The Prisoner  later this year. He joins Dakota Fanning as the latest addition to the Rob Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner film series.

Stephanie Meyer’s vampire movies are getting yet another director for the third film, ‘Eclipse.’  The short time between ‘New Moon’ and ‘Eclipse’ will make Chris Weitz unable to return for the third installment so Summit Entertainment is checking out other possibilities, including actress/producer/director Drew Barrymore. She has been a very successful producer with the ‘Charlie’s Angels’ franchise and has just completed directing Ellen Page in ‘Whip It.’

These films will have to be completed quickly before the cast (Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner in particular,) ages too dramatically, so getting a new director on board is important if ‘Eclipse’ is going to be released June 30, 2010.

Introducing a new director for a massive franchise is nothing new in Hollywood. It has been extremely successful for the Harry Potter films so why not for the ‘Twilight’ series? I wonder who else, besides Barrymore is being considered…
