Vanessa Hudgens chatted with Access Hollywood Sunday night (March 7th) about her Oscar dreams. The Beastly actress was at the 2010 Vanity Fair Oscar Party and told AH she “can only hope” she gets to take a statuette home one day. Hudgens also shares how excited she is about her upcoming movie Sucker Punch. Check out her interview above.

Actress Vanessa Hudgens finds herself on Vanity Fair’s “Women To Watch Out for” list in the February issue of the magazine. The Sucker Punch star talks about her love/hate thing with the paparazzi:

“It was like, ‘Oh, my God! No way! So cool.’ The second day it happens, it’s like, Never mind. Maybe it’s not as cool as I thought it’s going to be.”

A self-described shy girl, Hudgens finds herself on the list of hottest actresses for 2010 with Selena Gomez, Lily Collins, Amber Heard, Zoe Kravitz, and Isabel Lucas.

Vanessa Hudgens and Hayden Panettiere are spokesmodels for Neutrogena and turned up Saturday afternoon at Neutrogena Fresh Faces of Music at Jim Henson Studios in Hollywood. The event was held to benefit VH1’s Save The Music Foundation and singer Jordan Pruitt performed for the crowd. The Heroes and Sucker Punch actresses looked lovely in coordinating beige/nude colored dresses.

Vanessa Hudgens was in Vancouver training for her new film Sucker Punch and heading to her hotel when she was snapped by the waiting paparazzi. The actress looked very upbeat considering she has been hit with a ton of rumours (engagement to Zac Efron is confirmed by publicists as NOT happening) a dismal opening of her new movie Bandslam (didn’t even crack the top 10 for opening week) her nude pictures hitting the internet again (and promptly being removed by legal threats.)

Sterling Knight who was in 17 Again with Efron, (and photographed with Hudgens) was hanging out with the couple and he went to the Kings of Leon show with the High School Musical stars.

That KOL show must have been great: tons of Disney stars and the Twilight/New Moon/Eclipse cast and to see Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson together publicly confiriming the year long gossip of their romance.

Vintage shopping with Mary Kate Olsen, kissing costar Gaelen Connell, shooting a movie on the Seychelles Islands and dating Zac Efron are just a few of the things Vanessa Hudgens has done that you and I won’t ever do. The actress spoke to Moviefone about her latest movies: ‘Bandslam’ and ‘Beastly,’ her new house in Los Angeles and all the other pretty cool things she’s gotten to do.

On her awkward kissing scene with Connell in ‘Bandslam’: “The kissing with Gaelan was awesome. I loved the scene. I thought it was so funny. It was very choreographed and, yeah, it was very fun. I’m happy with the way it turned out.”

Former High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens is ready to get rid of her good girl image and get into more mature roles, which may include nudity. Vanessa will player a hooker in her new movie “Sucker Punch” and reveals there won’t be much clothes…

Vanessa said, “I’m playing a character named Blondie and it’s set in a brothel in the 1950s, so there’s not a whole lot of clothes,” the 20-year-old teased.

“I think this is my time to really step it up and get to grow up. I think that this will be somewhat different with the content and a few more foul words but that’s the biggest difference.”

Vanessa naked isn’t exactly something we haven’t seen before… I’m sure we all still remember those nude photos of the young actress meant for her boyfriend, Zac Efron, which were leaked last year.

Vanessa Hudgens has a lot of movies coming up. Bandslam  is due out in July of this year and she will begin working on Beastly  and Sucker Punch,  both films due in theaters in 2010. Check out what’s she has to say.

Looking beautiful on the cover of Self Magazine for May 2009, High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens tells of her admiration for Angelina Jolie and how she wants to do action films just like the Tomb Raider star.

“I’m in love with Angelina Jolie,” Hudgens reveals. “Everything she does, I adore.”

Her next movie, Bandslam, is coming out in July but she wants to move onto films with more intensity.

“I’d like to do an action film where I could kick someone’s ass.  I want to be strong and empowered. I want to shock everybody.”

I’m not sure when she gave this interview (print magazines typically work 4 to 6 months in advance of the actual release date,) but she is rumoured to be part of negotiations for the film Sucker Punch  by Zack Snyder and that should whet her appetite for action movies.

Grrrl power will be in full force as ’Watchmen’ and ‘300′ director Zack Snyder puts together an all female cast for his next visionary movie: ‘Sucker Punch’. Check out the cast in negotiations to start filming: Amanda Seyfried to star with Vanessa Hudgens, Evan Rachel Wood, Emma Stone and Abbie Cornish rounding out the 5 young women who do battle in an alternate reality. The Hollywood Reporter has the movie described as this:

Set in the 1950s, “Punch” follows a girl who is confined to a mental institution by her stepfather, who intends to have her lobotomized in five days. While there, she imagines an alternative reality to hide her from the pain, and in that world, she begins planning her escape, needing to steal five objects to help get her out before she is deflowered by a vile man.

Snyder, who co-wrote the script with Steve Shibuya, has described the fantasy world as ” ‘Alice in Wonderland’ with machine guns,” blending such elements as dragons, B-52 bombers and brothels.

Sounds like cinematic fun and a real departure for all the actresses involved. Let’s hope they can get this cast together - although I have to admit, I love to see someone like Dakota Fanning or Emma Watson as part of the cast.
