Jackson Rathbone Moves In With ‘No Ordinary Family’

Written by Violet on August 28, 2010 – 10:05 pm -

A family with supernatural abilities? Check.

Teens with mind bending powers? Check and Double Check.

Actor Jackson Rathbone is negotiating for a recurring role on the new ABC sci-fi show No Ordinary Family. NOF is centered around the Powell family and the crazy abilities they gain after being involved in a plane crash. Rathbone’s Trent Stafford would befriend Daphne, the Powell daughter (played by Kay Panabaker) who is telepathic, to help find the criminals behind his family’s home invasion.

Anything that gives us more Jackson is fine by me.

The series debut is Tuesday September 28th.

‘The Vampire Diaries’ Heats Up Nylon Magazine

Written by Violet on January 24, 2010 – 7:24 pm -

The Vampire Diaries is heating up after it’s long winter nap and just in time for the new episodes, Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley, and Ian Somerhalder have scored the cover of Nylon Magazine for February. Here is an excerpt:

On the similarities between Twilight, True Blood, and Vampire Diaries: “When the show first started… you automatically thought Twilight.  But once you continue, there’s a whole other side of it that goes a lot deeper… It’s about letting everyone know that we’re different but we all respect each other.” –Nina Dobrev

On the sudden success of the show: ““Do I think the show would be successful as it is, if it weren’t for all that? No.” –Paul Wesley

Hey Ian, is there any similarity between LOST and Vampire Diaries? “[My character] is gonna be the coolest character on television. There was no doubt about it. It reminded me of Sawyer, Josh Holloway’s character on LOST. He was always the character I secretly wished I could play.”

The show is hot hot hot and after this past week’s return with “Bloodlines” and all the reveals – the show is just getting better. Somerhalder also returns to ABC’s final season of LOST as Boone Carlyle on February 2nd. Check out TVD latest episode, “Unpleasantville” on Thursday January 28th at 8pm EST.
