A very odd pairing will occur during Super Bowl XLV when the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburg Steelers battle it out for pigskin supremacy.

Ozzy Osbourne, The Prince of Darkness and Justin Bieber, The Prince of Not-So-Much Darkness are teaming up for a Best Buy commercial airing during the annual football championship. The retailer said:

“We’re delighted to have Justin and Ozzy help us tell the Best Buy story,” Best Buy’s senior vice president of U.S. marketing, Drew Panayiotu, said. “We know people have high expectations for these ads and Justin and Ozzy add a whole new dimension of fun.”

Will Ozzy get a swish do? The 2011 Super Bowl XLV airs on Sunday February 6th.

Taylor Swift is the face for CoverGirl cosmetics new NatureLuxe line. The beautiful ads are gorgeous, ethereal and light and Swift shines in the campaign for the brand new product.

Taylor is featured in the print ad that says “Introducing a breath of fresh air! Flawless coverage with a light-as-air feel. New NatureLuxe Silk Foundation.” Swift said in a press release:

“I’m really excited for people to discover the new NatureLuxe line from CoverGirl! The Silk Foundation and Gloss Balm are really light and fresh, they feel amazing on my skin,”

The beauty products hit shelves in January 2011.

Covering the holiday issue, Taylor Swift is red hot for Seventeen magazine. The 20 year-old music superstar wears a one shoulder fire engine red dress with gold spots, perfect for holiday parties.

The Speak Now singer, who is rumored to be seeing movie star Jake Gyllenhaal, had this to say about love:

“I haven’t had that one great love, which is good. I don’t want that to be in the past. I want it to be in the future.”

Swift also shared that she’s always loved Seventeen magazine as it was the first magazine she got a subscription to.

Taylor Swift is making history this month. The 20 year-old music superstar broke three Billboard records last week by having 11 of her songs on the chart at once, the most songs written by one artist charting in the same week and all those songs are off one album.

On Tuesday November 9th, Swift, who has had some intense ups and downs this week, holds yet another title: BMI’s Country Songwriter of the Year - the youngest person ever awarded that honor.

Swift became the youngest recipient of the prize, telling the crowd, “It’s been a really emotional week for me.” And while this week has been filled with highs, it has also had its share of lows as she attended the funeral of a friend on Monday. She added, “He was 21, and I used to play my songs for him first.”

Congratulations on the record-winning weeks, Taylor. It’s unfortunate it was at the same time she was dealing with losing someone so close to her.

Tonight she will perform at the CMA’s (Country Music Awards) and perhaps pick up another trophy as she is nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year. It is rumored she will sing “Back To December,” the emotionaly song reportedly written about Taylor Lautner.

Taylor Swift is being sued by her former manager Dan Dymtrow and it’s possible she could end up owing millions if a judge sides with the music talent agent. Dymtrow alleges that Swift’s parents, Scott and Andrea, dismissed him after he signed her when she was 14, spent time developing her talent and hooked Taylor up with her current record company Big Machine Records.

“They delayed and delayed [the deal] and got rid of my client and subsequently signed the deal and kept his commissions for themselves,” Dymtrow attorney Fernando Pinguelo said.

Swift’s attorney begs to differ. They say he never obtained the correct legal documents to represent a minor and they fired him months before she signed on with Big Machine Records.

“For him to claim that her success and her major contracts were procured by him is ludicrous,” said Swift’s lawyer, Paul LiCalsi of Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp. “And even if there were some merit to his claims, paying him on the contract would defeat the whole purpose of the law in New York, which is to protect minors who sign contracts.”

This legal fight has been going on since 2007 and the judge has dismissed some of Dymtrow’s claims. With so much money at stake this battle is long from being over.

Taylor Swift’s super successful greeting card line has a summer edition out with lots of down home cuteness to love. Swift’s soft focus photo cards have lovely, light little musings and a numbered butterfly icon in the corner so you can keep track of and collect all 43 designs (so far) in the line.

“I’ve always been fascinated by feelings and how we express them to each other,” Taylor said. “Getting to write and design these cards is a wonderful experience.”

Time magazine published it’s annual 100 Most Influential People in the World list and among the artists of influence: Robert Pattinson came in at #6 and Taylor Swift at #9.

Rob Pattinson became the biggest of media celebrities with the success of the Twilight movies. Remember back when he was first cast, the doubts that spread across the net? The times (and attitudes) have changed and now the British actor has become hunted like the prey his famous vampire character, Edward Cullen, exists on. Still, the man handles himself well.

New Moon director Chris Weitz says: “And though I am continually impressed by the aplomb with which he handles the hysteria, I occasionally think he would take it all back if given the chance. Because essentially, Rob, 23, is a reserved, bookish sort of specimen, a guy who’d rather spend the night at the corner table in the pub with friends — a bit of a weirdo, frankly, in the best sense.”

The aw shucks quality that Pattinson exhibits is endearing and genuine.

Taylor Swift connects with people who truly root for her to succeed. In this age of negativity and anonymity on the net, when people feel free to say anything no matter how horrendous, about another person, Swift is largely exempt from that. Remarkable in itself, she also has the kind of worldwide success that usually comes with a major scandal or two. Also nada. She activates that hope of the storybook ending that a cynical world tries to shut out.

Grammy winner Stevie Nicks gives us this insight: “Taylor reminds me of myself in her determination and her childlike nature. It’s an innocence that’s so special and so rare. This girl writes the songs that make the whole world sing, like Neil Diamond or Elton John. She sings, she writes, she performs, she plays great guitar. Taylor can do ballads that could be considered pop or rock and then switch back into country.”

Adept, versatile and growing as a musician, Swift is one to reckon with and not underestimate.

While both young stars are influential today – the real question for each is will it last? Both are talented and working at developing more depth to their work. The keep their head down and try to go about their business even when there is a crazed atmosphere around them and they each have become very media savvy. Let’s hope both can make the list again in 2020.

The Las Vegas heat was no match for Taylor Swift as she sauntered down the awards show carpet in a magnificent soft lilac Marchesa embroidered gown for the 2010 ACM Awards. The country superstar was nominated five times at tonight’s (Sunday April 18th) ceremony.
