Actress/singer Taylor Momsen is the cover girl of the latest issue of UK’s Company Magazine (May 2010). In the interview, the 16 year-old Pretty Reckless leader refuses to talk about boys and promises to stay true to herself no matter what. Here are some highlights:

On kissing Gossip Girl co-star Chace Crawford: “I don’t answer that. I always get that question.”

On the pressures of being a child star: “I care too much about my job. I really don’t care about fame and tabloids and all that sh*t. It’s so easy to buy into it, but it will destroy you. I really care about acting, I’ve done it since forever, it’s part of who I am. I also really care about music and my band, which keeps me happy. I think when you lose sight of what you love, that’s when you can fall off track.”

On having to look her best all the time: “Sure, there’s a pressure, I walk out of the house and I get my photo taken and it’s all over the internet and everyone’s judging it. But I haven’t changed. I still dress how I want regardless of what people are saying. And I speak the way I’m going to speak and do the things I want to do. If people don’t like it, it’s not my problem.”

Gossip Girl star Taylor Momsen, who will be absent for a big part of the next season of the show, and her band The Pretty Reckless shot their first music video for their debut single, “Make Me Wanna Die”, at Brooklyn cemetery last month. The song will be featured on the “Kick-Ass” movie soundtrack.

“Our shoot day was plagued by a horrible rain storm, but we still managed to venture out into the cold, wet night to film,” Taylor told People. We cannot wait to see this dark and creepy music video directed by Meier Avis.

Actress/singer Taylor Momsen is tired of the character (Jenny Humphrey) that turned her into a global superstar on the hit CW show, “Gossip Girl”. Taylor will be absent for an uncertain number of episodes next season for “creative” reasons.

The truth is Taylor is obviously more dedicated to her band, The Pretty Reckless, than her acting career. However, an insider revealed that something big is reserved for her character in the show. Is she going to die or get pregnant next season?

Gossip Girl star Taylor Momsen has her own style and personality and she is not going to change who she is because of the critics who say she is not a role model for her generation. Taylor is not another “Disney product”.

Taylor said, “Clothes are a form of self-expression. I don’t care what other people think. I’ve had lots of people say I’m disgraceful because I should act like a role model for other young kids but I’m not a role model. I’m an actress, I’m a singer and I don’t want to be a role model. If you like me that’s fantastic – but if you don’t, stop giving me a hard time.”

“I’m not some cute girl that’s been stamped out of a Disney studio and I’m proud of that. Some people like me for it, others hate it. I’m used to that. I’ve had it all my life,” Taylor added.

Taylor started acting professionally at the tender age of three but her life hasn’t been easy at all. She admitted that she was not popular in school and confessed she was actually bullied by other kids. Taylor said, “I didn’t have a great childhood. I loved my family, I loved my work but I hated school. I had a really bad time. Other kids didn’t like me. I didn’t fit in.”

The 16 year-old actress/singer also claims she has been through a lot and it really helped her to build a strong, independent character. “I do what I choose, I wear what I choose, I sing what I choose and I don’t care what anyone else thinks,” she says. Taylor has a lot of attitude, which makes establishing a friendly relationship with someone a lot harder.

Taylor used to be made fun of for her peculiar fashion sense but now she is a fashion icon for a lot of girls out there. She thinks it’s kind of ironic. Taylor has incredible confidence for a teenage girl – that is what makes her a good role model and not what she wears!

Gossip Girl star Taylor Momsen has been so busy (she doesn’t even have time to think about Haiti!) that she completely forgot her pants… and no, fishnet stockings do not count as appropriate for a casual stroll on set of the CW’s hit show in Queens, New York. We can only hope Taylor is still in character and that is one of Jenny Humphrey’s ridiculous fashion statements!

While some of our favorite teen stars are doing everything they can to help Haiti, Gossip Girl star Taylor Momsen is currently too busy with her own personal projects to think about the people whose lives were completely destroyed by a 7.0 earthquake.

Taylor told OK!, “Um, right now I’m trying to just finish my record and getting through the last season of Gossip Girl for right now. So not so much thinking about that.” Added Taylor, “But it’s awesome that everyone is ya know working towards a good cause.”

We love Taylor but you cannot live in your own little bubble not wanting to know or trying to understand what is happening around you in the world. Not a good example for a role model… Oh Taylor, Taylor!!

Actress/singer Taylor Momsen responds to people who have been criticizing her wardrobe choices, labeling them inappropriate for her age and guess what!?! Taylor doesn’t care!!

“I don’t care,” she told E! News backstage at the G-Star Raw fashion show Tuesday night in NYC. “I think if everyone’s going to be so upset about what I’m wearing, I’m like, well, maybe you should look at your life a little more. I don’t know why you’re so obsessed with mine.”

The 16 year-old also compares fashion to art and claims it’s just another way to express her creativeness.

“Music inspires me,” she says of her choice to bare what she will. “Fashion means everything. I mean, it’s art. Art means everything to me, so fashion’s another side of it. It’s expression, it’s music, it’s a way of showing and really being who you are in your own way that no one can take away from you.”

Taylor shocked when she showed up for a The Pretty Reckless concert pant-less in sexy inappropriate lingerie (check out more photos here).

Gossip Girl star Taylor Momsen looks absolutely amazing in a tight, mini-dress while shooting on location in New York. It is a nice change from the 16 year-old actress’ punk rock style, but those sunglasses are a nice touch to the outfit giving her the rocker look.
