Gossip Girl star Taylor Momsen and her band The Pretty Reckless performed one of the songs, “Zombie”, off their debut album entitled “Light Me Up”, during the launch of the Material Girl collection at Macy’s Herald Square in NYC, NY last week (watch video below). Taylor was chosen by Madonna and her daughter Lourdes Leon to be the spokesmodel for their new line of clothing. Apparently Taylor and Lourdes are like BFFs! Scary! The Pretty Reckless lead singer Taylor Momsen confessed she has no idea who Justin Bieber is in a recent controversial radio interview. Yeah, right! Taylor has heard of JBieber, but she doesn’t care about young teen stars. In fact, Taylor despises anything young, fresh and Disney!

Taylor said, “I don’t know who Justin Bieber is. I only know his name because it keeps being brought up to me. I listen to Led Zeppelin and The Beatles, so I have no idea who he is. That’s not a dis; I just don’t know.”

Taylor never even once heard Justin? Not even on the radio? While travelling or shopping? I find that really hard to believe. Justin Bieber is everywhere! Not to mention his “Baby” music video is the most watched video of all time on YouTube!

The cover features a blonde toddler girl, who is supposed to resemble Taylor, dressed in a leather jacket and holding a lighter. The 17 year-old claimed she wanted to redefine rock and roll and she is doing it her own way!

Disney star Miley Cyrus is reportedly furious at Taylor Momsen, who labeled her and other popular teen stars “Disney bubblegum sh*t” and said she was tired of being compared to “Miley f***ing Cyrus” (or something equally rude!).

Anyway Miley thought Taylor was a pretty cool girl, doing her own music and becoming a complete artist just like her until she found out Taylor is just like another jealous teenager. Cat. Fight.

According to a source, “Miley is furious – who wouldn’t be? She thought Taylor was pretty cool until this happened, which has left her totally confused. Taylor is so obviously desperate for fame. I mean, she’s traipsing around town in her underwear, or is that for the love of the music too? Miley has always had a lot of talent, and Taylor knows it. Taylor still sees her as a threat, which she is, although they’re hardly in the same league. Miley gets a little risky on stage, but she knows that it’s a performance, whereas Taylor doesn’t seem to know where to draw the line. It’s sad, really.”

Miley and Taylor both love to wear close to nothing on stage. Miley has a clean and racy new look, while Taylor is kind of a dirty rocker. There is space in the music scene for both of these girls. There is no need for them to start attacking each other. Anyway if I had to pick a team, I’m Team Miley!

The 16 year-old wearing nothing but pretty inappropriate lingerie and pounds of makeup recreates some type of luxurious, dirty and nasty version of the last supper. Taylor is trying too hard to be sexy too soon.

The truth is for someone who considers herself a true artist and not a Disney product, Taylor’s “Miss Nothing” is a pretty lame song and the vocals are just ok. This is certainly not a hit song.

Actress/singer Taylor Momsen is not exactly a Miley Cyrus fan and she totally lost it when someone once again tried to compare her to the Hannah Montana star. Taylor has a difficult personality! And she also despises anything Disney!

“I’m not looking to be Miley f***ing Cyrus. I don’t care about the fame. I do it because I love music. I like making records and if people like them, then we’ll go along for the ride.”

She added: “I’m not dissing Miley personally. However, I do think the Disney bubblegum s**t that the world is living right now is pathetic. I thought we passed that repression. I don’t know Miley, but musically we’re different. To compare us because of our age is silly.”

Geez!! Taylor needs to learn to sit back, take a deep breath and then attempt to answer questions like the grown up she so desperately wants to be. Where the heck are Taylor’s parents? The 16 year-old Gossip Girl star already looks like a younger (not much younger!) version of Courtney Love! Eww!

Actress/singer Taylor Momsen is the cover girl of the latest issue of UK’s Company Magazine (May 2010). In the interview, the 16 year-old Pretty Reckless leader refuses to talk about boys and promises to stay true to herself no matter what. Here are some highlights:

On kissing Gossip Girl co-star Chace Crawford: “I don’t answer that. I always get that question.”

On the pressures of being a child star: “I care too much about my job. I really don’t care about fame and tabloids and all that sh*t. It’s so easy to buy into it, but it will destroy you. I really care about acting, I’ve done it since forever, it’s part of who I am. I also really care about music and my band, which keeps me happy. I think when you lose sight of what you love, that’s when you can fall off track.”

On having to look her best all the time: “Sure, there’s a pressure, I walk out of the house and I get my photo taken and it’s all over the internet and everyone’s judging it. But I haven’t changed. I still dress how I want regardless of what people are saying. And I speak the way I’m going to speak and do the things I want to do. If people don’t like it, it’s not my problem.”
