Day 2 of the 2011 Lollapalooza Music Festival was off to a great start with Taylor Momsen and The Pretty Reckless among the acts taking the stage in Chicago on Saturday.

Momsen, who turned 18 on July 25th, was outfitted in her usual all black attire including a leather jacket and tons of dark eyeshadow. Her dress had slashes and cutouts all along the sides and she wore her black fishnet thigh highs and leather boots to complete the look.

The band took the stage in the afternoon and fans loved the show.

The Pretty Reckless will open for Evanesence as the bands tour the UK starting November.

Taylor Momsen is known for head to toe black clothing (when she chooses to wear clothes at all) but for handbag company Samantha Thavasa, the singer opted for a pretty shade of pink for a nice change.

Momsen, 17, is the new face of the Japan-based accessory brand and she took the stage modeling a large black satchel in a petal colored shift dress while most of the other girls wore outfits in her preferred shade of black.

The former Gossip Girl told the interviewer that she “didn’t follow trends” but she was into long skirts because she likes options.

Taylor Momsen attended the Nickelodeon’s 2011 Kids Choice Awards held at the USC Galen Center in Los Angeles on Saturday, April 2nd.

The Pretty Reckless lead singer was a presenter and introduced Willow Smith’s performance for the ceremony.

The 17 year-old toned down her normally racy outfits for the show which has lots of kids under 13 watching.

“I figured I’d be appropriate,” she said of her relatively demure get-up.

Thank you Taylor. For all the flack she gets for how she dresses, that was a nice thing to do.

Actress/singer Taylor Momsen is currently promoting her work with the band, The Pretty Reckless, in Europe, delivered quite a live and private performance at the VIP Room in Paris, France (more pictures below).

The Gossip Girl star then headed to the FNAC store at the Champs-Elysees to meet her French fans. Taylor also delivered an acoustic performance there and took some time to sign autographs to anyone buying her CD.

Of course, Taylor continues to rock the bad girl look wearing raunchy lingerie and hooker-heels on stage. The girl is just 17 years old and she already looks like a younger twin of Courtney Love.

In a recent interview, Taylor complained the media can’t stop obsessing about her style and start talking about her music. HELLO!!! When Taylor chooses outrageous outfits over music, what are we suppose to be talking about?

“[My demeanour] does take over my music but that’s also tabloids. That’s their response to who I am,” she explained.

“I don’t have control over what people are going to write and it’s always going to be part of it. But fashion, music… it all comes together. Tabloids are going to focus on my shoes and not my music, that’s just what they do.”

To tell the truth, I don’t think I could recognize a Pretty Reckless song, but I’d recognize her style anywhere. Taylor makes her own decisions. I guess music is not really important for her as long as she is shocking us and getting some media attention.

Gossip Girl’s bad girl Taylor Momsen and her band The Pretty Reckless delivered a more intimate performance live at the Wonder Bar in Asbury Park, New Jersey on Friday (March 18)- more pictures below.

Taylor, who continues to rock lingerie and outwear to complete her high class hooker look, is rumored to be a co-host of Simon Cowell’s US version of “The X-Factor”. REALLY! It’s still a rumor, but…

No clue why would Simon pick such a controversial young girl for the job because the show would most probably lose credibility.

Taylor Momsen and her band The Pretty Reckless performed a live and acoustic rendition of Fiona Apple’s “Criminal” (see video above). I usually don’t give Taylor much credit as a singer, but this is pretty good. And the bad girl has a refined taste in music… too bad that doesn’t apply to her clothes!

Taylor Momsen sports skimpy lingerie and spritzes herself generously with perfume in the video ad for designer John Galliano’s Parlez-moi d’Amour fragrance. The scent is a heady mix of bergamot, blueberries, patchouli, ginger and rose.

The Pretty Reckless lead singer is filmed in a Burlesque/boudoir setting as famed photographer Ellen von Unwerth layers the images over the band’s song “You.”

Taylor Momsen is back in tonight’s new Gossip Girl. Episode 4.10 “Gaslit” is the last episode Jenny will be in through January. Last week it was reported that Momsen has been sidelined by the show for a while. There are conflicting reports as to why – was she that much of a pain to the show or was it just because her storyline dictates her absence – but none the less, this is it for Jenny Humphrey through the January episodes at least.

Here is tonight’s official synopsis:

TATE DONOVAN DIRECTS THE EPISODE: Chuck (Ed Westwick), Serena (Blake Lively), Blair (Leighton Meester), Dan (Penn Badgley), Jenny (Taylor Momsen) and Eric (Connor Paolo) find themselves faced with a crisis when a member of one of their families is hospitalized.  Meanwhile, Nate (Chace Crawford) attempts to help his parents, The Captain (guest star Sam Robards) and Anne (guest star Francie Swift), put their complicated past behind them and reconcile.  Katie Cassidy guest stars as Juliet.  Jessica Szohr, Kelly Rutherford and Matthew Settle also star.

Taylor Momsen and The Pretty Reckless have released a behind the scenes look at the video for the single “Just Tonight.” Described as a “Gothic fairytale” the video was set in an abandoned armory building that was underwater for years.

Gossip Girl’s Jenny Humphrey is taking a long leave starting in December. Taylor Momsen’s character will appear in the November 29th episode “Gaslit” and she won’t be see again for a long while as executives for the TV show are suspending Momsen.

Besides her barely-there wardrobe and expletive-laced tirades against peers such as Miley Cyrus, Momsen pissed off Project Runway‘s Tim Gunn who played mentor to ‘Jenny” in an episode that aired last month. Gunn blasted Momsen for her lack of professionalism on the set. “What a diva,” he told E! News. “She was pathetic, she couldn’t remember her lines, and she didn’t even have that many. I thought to myself, ‘Why are we being held hostage by this brat?’”

The official word is that Taylor will not be utilized (she has not been fired) for creative/storyline reasons not because she is giving everyone headaches behind the scenes. The truth is Momsen has been focused on her music with The Pretty Reckless and does not seem that interested in being an actress at all, anywhere. Whether she is a pain in the backside to producers or not – this could be the best thing for both Momsen and Ggirl.
