The song “Dear John” is rumored to be written about Taylor’s relationship with the one and only John Mayer (aka major douche!). John and Taylor were reportedly romantically involved when they worked together of his sing “Half Of My Heart” featured in his “Battle Studies” album, but the musician might have cruelly broken up her heart.

Taylor is not confirming this, but claims all the songs have “clues” to several stages of her life, which are directly linked with a love story… sometimes it’s good and other times you get hurt.

Taylor said, “They’re all made very clear. Every single song is like a road map to what that relationship stood for, with little markers that maybe everyone won’t know, but there are things that were little nuances of the relationship, little hints. Musician John Mayer and Taylor Swift recorded a duet, “Half Of My Heart”, which is featured in his latest album “Battle Studies”. John has just released a music video for the song but unfortunately our dear Taylor does not appear in the video.

Musician John Mayer and country star Taylor Swift were spotted having dinner together at the Cabana restaurant in Nashville and the rumors the two might have been secretly hooking up quickly started. Well they share their passion for music… and a duet “Half Of My Half”…

But not everything is what it seems. The two weren’t alone together but included in a big group of people. “They were with a big group,” a rep for the restaurant tells E! News. “They just seemed to be friends.” Yeah, John is too old and too freaky sensual for our girl Taylor!!

Teen country star Taylor Swift sang a duet with one of her favorite musicians, John Mayer, for his upcoming album “Battle Studies”, which comes out November 17. The song is a beautiful romantic ballad titled “Half Of My Half”.

Taylor had the opportunity to sing with John when he joined her on stage during her Fearless tour earlier this year. The two sang Taylor’s “White Horse” (watch video here) and John’s “Your Body Is a Wonderland” (watch video here).
