Talk about the ultimate Daddy’s girl; country super star, Taylor Swift threw down 2.5 million smackers for a 5,601 square-foot Antebellum house for her parents, in her now-hometown of Nashville, TN.

Andrea and Scott Swift’s new casa features four spacious bedrooms, four-and-a-half bathrooms, a gorgeous formal dining room, multiple sitting areas, and a cement pond (that’s a swimming pool for those of you not versed in “southern speak”).

Billboard Magazine officially announced this week that country recording artist Taylor Swift will be receiving the “Woman of the Year” award at the 2011 Billboard Women in Music event on Dec. 2 in New York City.

Raise your hand if you’re surprised.

Swift, who’s sold more records than, well, anyone in the past year, is the youngest artist to ever receive this honor – and it makes sense:  At 21, she’s already won four Grammy Awards, gone quintuple platinum and been bum-rushed onstage by an angry hip-hop artist.  So yeah, she’s pretty advanced.

According to Bill Werde, Billboard’s Editorial Director,

Taylor has shown the power of good songwriting with music that has transcended genres, and we’re thrilled to recognize all of her successes over the past year by honoring her with the Billboard Woman of the Year Award… At the young age of 21, Taylor has already made a major impact on music and has been an incredible role model for aspiring singers/songwriters and young women everywhere.  I look forward to watching her career continue to flourish in the years to come.

Kind of makes you want to get up off the couch and do something, don’t it?

Taylor Swift’s tune about regret and missed opportunity, “Back To December” has debuted a new video today.

The snow filled apartment of sadness that Swift suffers in and the guy (Taylor Lautner resemblance?) she sings to reflect her mood; melancholy. Her hot new (video) man? His name is Guntar Asmanis.

By the way, I love the dark low lights she has in her hair.

Here is Taylor Swift’s official music video for her single “Fearless” out of her hit album with the same name. The video is a montage of footage from the best of her Fearless Tour, which including some sexy hot scenes on stage, backstage scenes and the most important, Taylor’s fans! This is like a “thank you” note from Taylor to all her amazing fans for the fantastic year she had.

Country star Taylor Swift had an amazing, wonderful and perfect year of 2009, as she seems to have won every important award for her music with the hit album “Fearless”, but she needed some rest and took the whole month off before kicking ass at the Grammy Awards at the end of the month.

Taylor wrote a super sweet message on her MySpace blog titled “Thank You January”, where she also posted some beautiful mostly black and white pictures she took with her new camera (more photos below).

Thank you January. I have had this month off. I have walked on snow-covered grass and discovered new coffee shops and laughed hysterically with friends about things that probably weren’t technically funny. I’ve written songs on napkins and sat at a giant table with my whole family on my mother’s birthday, all of us in one place for the first time in too long. I’ve gotten to take what has happened to me and process it to my full capability, and celebrate it the way it deserved to be celebrated. I’ve made new music. I’ve gone over the memories and jumped up and down with my producer and floated around with nothing on my schedule other than just appreciating what my life has somehow turned into. So thank you for giving me so much to be thankful for this January. Thank you beyond what I know how to say.

Singer/songwriter Taylor Swift, who graces the cover of the special issue of People, is considered by the magazine the most intriguing person of the year 2009. The 20 year-old country star had an amazing year: her album “Fearless” is the top selling of the year, a sold-out tour and she won the biggest award in country music for “Best Entertainer Of The Year”.

Taylor won’t let success change her or blind her. She wants to be the same humble girl and continue to evolve but don’t expect her to go out partying because that is just not her style. Taylor is a hard working girl!

“You can stay the same person, even if everything around you changes,” says the golden girl, 20, of the trappings of her fame. “I would like to think everybody out there isn’t just waiting for me to trip and fall and stumble out of a club drunk. People know I’m not a party girl. I’m not hiding some dying urge to be out clubbing right now.”

We hope Taylor can continue to grow and conquer the world. She deserves it more than anyone else in the business. She is dedicated and we can feel that in everything she does. Taylor recently donated more than $250,000 to schools around the country to celebrate her 20th birthday!

Singer Taylor Swift will release a new album “Fearless Platinum Edition”, a special editing of her hit album “Fearless” with six brand new songs [1. Jump Then Fall, 2. Untouchable, 3. Teen country star Taylor Swift continues to break records with her latest album titled “Fearless”. The single “You Belong With Me” (watch music video), which won Best Female Video at the MTV VMAs (remember Kanye West’s meltdown?), has hit No. 1 on Billboard Radio Songs/Hot 100 Airplay chart. It’s the first country single to hit the top spot in the chart’s 19-year history.

Take that Taylor Swift! Joe Jonas wrote his own song for his ex-girlfriend Taylor, who made no secret to have written “Forever & Always” (video) about her former lover. Joe’s song featured on The Jonas Brother’s fourth studio album “Lines, Vines and Trying Times” is titled “Much Better”.

Much Better Lyrics: “I get a rep for breakin’ hearts / Now I’m done with superstars / And all the tears on her guitar / I’m not bitter / But now I see / Everything I’d ever need / Is the girl in front of me / She’s much better.”

“Tears on her guitar” – In case you didn’t know Taylor wrote a song named “Teardrops On My Guitar” (watch video here). Joe Jonas is currently dating actress Camilla Belle, who he says is so “much better”. OUCH!

Jonas Brothers’ first single “Paranoid” (video) lyrics also seem to vaguely diss one of their previous girlfriends. I love teenagers that can actually write songs… musical feuds are always healthy!

Taylor Swift invited John Mayer to one of her “Fearless” tour concerts and they performed two songs together. First they sang “Your Body Is a Wonderland” (video here) by John Mayer then “White Horse” by Taylor.
