Singer/songwriter Taylor Swift, who graces the cover of the special issue of People, is considered by the magazine the most intriguing person of the year 2009. The 20 year-old country star had an amazing year: her album “Fearless” is the top selling of the year, a sold-out tour and she won the biggest award in country music for “Best Entertainer Of The Year”.

Taylor won’t let success change her or blind her. She wants to be the same humble girl and continue to evolve but don’t expect her to go out partying because that is just not her style. Taylor is a hard working girl!

“You can stay the same person, even if everything around you changes,” says the golden girl, 20, of the trappings of her fame. “I would like to think everybody out there isn’t just waiting for me to trip and fall and stumble out of a club drunk. People know I’m not a party girl. I’m not hiding some dying urge to be out clubbing right now.”

We hope Taylor can continue to grow and conquer the world. She deserves it more than anyone else in the business. She is dedicated and we can feel that in everything she does. Taylor recently donated more than $250,000 to schools around the country to celebrate her 20th birthday!

Taylor Swift, SNL guest host, and Bill Hader star in a promotional video for the show, where they poke fun at the Kanye West VMAs incident. Bill tells Taylor, “Whoops, Kanye West just called. He thinks Beyoncé should host instead.” Then he adds, “Funny, huh?” Taylor just stands there and rolls her eyes. Bill then awkwardly says, “Good times,” and walks off the set whispering to himself, “Hader.”

Country teen sensation Taylor Swift will host the legendary ‘Saturday Night Live’ on November 7. Taylor confessed she has been thinking about skit ideas so beware Kanye West because revenge is best served cold and on SNL!

“I’ve been thinking about skit ideas for a long time,” she told The Associated Press. “There are definitely some hilarious things that have happened to me over the past couple of months that I think will be pretty substantial skits.”

Taylor performed on the show back in January and now she comes back to host it. She described the experience as “mind-blowing”. We know Taylor will do a fantastic job!

Country star Taylor Swift confessed now that she is rich and famous she likes to surprise people with unexpected gifts. If you are lucky enough to be standing in line behind Taylor at Starbucks (even in the drive-thru!), she will buy you a cup of coffee.

“Now I’m in a better position to be a bigger tipper when I’m out at a restaurant. People don’t expect it, and you can make their day,” Taylor recently shared, “I like going through Starbucks drive-through and paying for the person behind, just because it’s nice.”

Teen country sensation Taylor Swift worked really hard to be the big star she is now. When doors were closed, Taylor still believed in herself and her music. The girl is talented, sincere and follows her heart – Taylor truly is a role model for young girls!

“I had a record deal that didn’t work out,” Taylor recently shared in an interview, “and it was devastating to me. When I was 13, I got a meeting with RCA Records, and they said they wanted to sign me to a development deal.

That means they want to watch you, but they’re not promising to make an album with you—kind of like a guy who wants to date you but not be your boyfriend. After a year you turn in your songs, and they decide whether they want to shelf you—keep watching you—drop you or sign you to a record deal.

They decided to shelf me, and I had a choice to make. I could have stayed in development with them, but I figured that if they didn’t believe in me then, they weren’t ever going to believe in me. So I made a tough decision and struck out on my own.”

Sexy Taylor Swift is the new cover girl for the latest issue of Glamour Magazine (August 2009). The country teen sensation is just a very down to earth girl and that comes through in every single interview she does. Here are some highlights from Taylor’s Glamour interview:

On her lifestyle: “I’ve never felt like I needed to tone down being seen as a regular person. When I first started doing MySpace, I wrote my bio in the first person. I didn’t want [it] to look like a publicity promo site, so I was the one doing all the commenting, and I was the one putting up the pictures and videos. I’ve approached my whole career like that—I don’t see that ever changing.”

On being a rebel: “For me, rebelling is done with words: I love to write honest songs that name real people, then get up onstage and live out those emotions in front of 15,000 people. Penciling in a night to get wasted is not something I want to do.”

On her life goals: “I still have lots of goals. I’d love to do a world tour. And at some point, I’d like to move out of my parents’ house!”

On her type in guys: “I wouldn’t want to date a pushover who would let me make all the plans and have all the control. I’d rather be with someone who has his own voice and passion and ambition.”

Teen sensation Taylor Swift says life would be lonely if she was always trying to compete with her friends. The 19 year-old is best friends with Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez.

Taylor said: “I don’t compete with other people in the industry. I compete with myself. If I looked at every other girl in the entertainment industry as competition, my life would be really lonely. I wouldn’t have some of the coolest friends that I’m so glad I’ve gotten to know over the last couple of years… It’s really awesome to get to hang out with those girls and to call them friends.”

Taylor is not trying to be better than someone else but she wants to be better every day… that is why she is so awesome. We love Taylor!

Before becoming one of the greatest country stars, Taylor Swift was just a normal girl with a lot of insecurities that didn’t have friends in school. Taylor confessed life is dream for her now on stage at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

“It doesn’t matter if you don’t have friends in junior high,” Swift said as she kicked off her first ever headlining “Fearless” tour. “Being an outsider gave me time to think … But there was a time when my greatest fear was not fitting in at school; I never thought I would be here with a sold-out Staples Center.”

Taylor invited a very special guest to perform a couple of songs with her. John Mayer and Taylor sang “White Horse” (video here) and “Your Body Is a Wonderland” (video here).

Talented singer/songwriter Taylor Swift, who wrote a song for her former boyfriend Joe Jonas, confessed to spy (stalk!) her ex-boyfriends just to see how they are doing.

Taylor said: “In my spare time I like to drive past my ex-boyfriends’ houses. I’m not like throwing eggs - I just like to check up on them. Everybody does that - it’s just that nobody admits to it!”

Excuse me! I never felt the need to check up on my ex-boyfriends like that… I prefer the non-stalker, easier way that is sending a text message or email and only if I really need to. What about you?? Girls, don’t tell me you are the stalker type too??

Country teen sensation Taylor Swift is not a superstitious girl! The 19 year-old actually confessed on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, the number thirteen is equivalent to good luck in her short successful career.

Taylor says: “It’s the number 13. I was born on the 13th [December 13, 1989], I turned 13 on Friday the 13th, my first album went gold in 13 weeks…also my first song that ever went #1, it had a 13 second intro.”

Taylor Swift covers Allure Magazine and talks about some difficult issues like weight, sex, and Prince Charming. Taylor is such a beautiful girl, I don’t understand what they were trying to do to her hair but it seems kind of wrong. Here are some highlights from Taylor Swift’s Allure Magazine Interview:

Taylor Swift on Weight: “Basically, if I’m indulging too much and not exercising enough, I can feel that,” she says. “I can feel a change before I see it. For me, working out is not so I can stay skinny. It’s so that I can keep up my endurance so I’m not panting on stage. Heavy breathing is the worst when you’re in concert. You don’t want to see that, if you’re going to see a show.”

Taylor on Keeping Mum on Her V-Card: “It’s fine to talk about love publicly. But I think when you talk about virginity and sex publicly, people just automatically picture you naked. And as much as I can prevent people picturing me naked, I’m going to.”

Taylor Talks Fairy Tales: “I have always been fascinated with fairy tales… and the idea that Prince Charming is just one castle away. And you’re gonna run across a field and meet each other in the middle, and have an amazing, perfect movie kiss. And it’s all gonna be happily ever after.”

Country teen sensation Taylor Swift will talk and write about boys and relationships but sex is a taboo subject to her at least publicly.

“It’s fine to talk about love publicly,” the 19-year-old singer tells Allure, “but I think when you talk about virginity and sex publicly, people just automatically picture you naked. And as much as I can prevent people picturing me naked, I’m going to.”

Taylor is one of a kind. Although these days it’s all about the over-sexualization of teens, Taylor doesn’t want people to think about her like that. She is a really grown up 19 year-old woman!
