Actress Kristen Stewart wore a sexy rock hot pink dress to the much anticipated premiere of the movie “The Runaways” held at Cinerama Dome Arclight Theaters in Los Angeles on Thursday (March 11).

Both Dakota Fanning and Kristen looked fantastic – one wearing hot pink the other wearing a darker shade of silver, which combined well on the red carpet. The real “Runaways” Cherie Currie and Joan Jett also posed with their “impersonators”. The big surprise on the red carpet was the presence of Twilight hunk Taylor Lautner.

The official trailer (first full trailer) for Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning’s new movie “The Runaways” has been released (watch video below). They look rocktastic! We cannot wait to see this movie.

The Runaways follows two friends, Joan Jett (Kristen Stewart) and Cherie Currie (Dakota Fanning), as they rise from rebellious Southern California kids to rock stars of the now legendary group that paved the way for future generations of girl bands. With its tough-chick image and raw talent, the band quickly earns a name for itself-and so do its two leads: Joan is the band’s pure rock’ n’ roll heart, while Cherie, with her Bowie-Bardot looks, is the sex kitten. Based on Currie’s book Neon Angel.

The Runaways was expected to hit theaters this month but the premiere date has been pushed back to April 9, 2010.

Rocker chicks Joan Jett (Kristen Stewart) and Cherie Curie (Dakota Fanning) made a musical revolution when they formed the band “The Runaways”. Their adventures were turned into a movie and here is the new TV spot for the film, which premieres on March 19 (video above).

Sweet sixteen it is for Dakota Fanning today, February 23rd. The star of the upcoming film The Runaways, celebrated over the weekend with a dinner in Beverly Hills. Happy Birthday to Dakota!

Kristen Stewart is Elle UK Magazine’s 2010 Woman of the Year and the nineteen year old actress is having a truly phenomenal time. After winning the Orange Rising Star award at the BAFTA’s on Sunday (see her speech here,) her latest films The Yellow Handkerchief and The Runaways hitting theaters, The Twilight Saga: New Moon out on DVD in March and Eclipse releasing in June, Stewart in unstoppable. Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning are in Park City, Utah at the Sundance Film Festival promoting their other film together The Runaways. The two teen costars popped in to a Joan Jett and the Blackhearts concert at Harry O’s on Sunday January 24th and appeared briefly onstage with Jett and former Runaways bandmate, Cheri Currie.

Fanning is portraying Currie in the upcoming movie and Stewart will be seen as Jett in the pic that chronicles the rise of the all teenage girl band of the seventies.

The flick opens Friday March 19th and will be talked about just for the kissing scene between Stewart and Fanning.
