Zac Efron picked up a trophy for Favorite Move Star Under 25 last night during the 2011 People’s Choice Awards at the Nokia Theater Live in Los Angeles.

23 year-old Efron, sporting his new marine style buzz cut for his part in The Lucky One, he looked every inch the hot young star that he is in a very formal suit, vest and tie.

The 2011 People’s Choice Awards brought Taylor Swift out Wednesday night to the Nokia Theater Live in Los Angeles.

Swift chose the gorgeous spring J Mendel dress that actress Natalie Portman wore on the cover of January’s Vogue magazine (see that cover here.) The soft peachy pink cocktail dress looked wonderful on Swift and I’m so glad she decided to ditch the sparkles, at least for one night.

Swift won the trophy for Favorite Country Artist but even better, was acknowledged by Johnny Depp. Swift was presenting Depp with the Favorite Movie Actor award, Depp turned to her and said “Taylor Swift, by the way, Hello. My daughter [11 year old Lily-Rose] said if I didn’t say hi to you I’d be in big trouble.” How cute.

Taylor Swift won Favorite Female Artist at The People’s Choice Awards held in Los Angeles on Wednesday night. Swift certainly had a much nicer time with this acceptance speech as LL Cool J escorted her up the stairs instead of Kanye West interrupting and giving her a hard time.

Rumer Willis, daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore and step-daughter to Ashton Kutcher, will be the Miss Golden Globe trophy gal at The Golden Globes Awards ceremony in Los Angeles this year. Last year she was chosen as well, but due to the writer’s strike, the ceremony was cancelled. The job of handing out the statutes to the winners is tradionally given to children of actors and actresses, and Melanie Griffith, Laura Dern and Joely Fisher have all done the duty and gone on to great acting careers.
