I hope she brings a sweater because Keke Palmer is heading to the Ice Age.

The 17 year-old is among the voice talent cast for the fourth film Ice Age: Continental Drift. Palmer joins the existing cast of Ray Romano, Denis Leary, Queen Latifah, Josh Peck and John Leguizamo .

But she isn’t the only new cast member. Jennifer Lopez, Aziz Anzari, Wanda Sykes, Jeremy Renner and Drake are all hoping on the animated train. It is scheduled for release on July 13, 2012.

Palmer’s character is “Peaches” the daughter of Ellie (Latifah.)

Keke Palmer walked the orange carpet for Nickelodeon’s 2011 Kids Choice Awards held at the USC Galen Center in Los Angeles on Saturday, April 2nd.

The 17 year-old chose a one-shouldered sparkling black mini dress. Hawt!

She was a presenter at the ceremony and handed Miley Cyrus her blimp award for Favorite Movie Actress.

Palmer posted to her blog today:

“I had a great time yesterday @ KCA’s, so glad people liked my dress I could not believe I was a trending topic, that part was cool, thank you guys so much I felt like shouting WINNING !!! There was so much slime on stage I was so afraid I was gonna slide right off on my butt, or worse rip my dress that would have been a nightmare, but thank goodness it all turned out well….. Whew!”

Nickelodeon stars Ariana Grande and Ashley Argota walked the purple carpet for the premiere of Justin Bieber: Never Say Never held on Tuesday night at the Nokia Theatre Live L.A. in Los Angeles.

Before the movie, Ariana tweeted:

Getting ready for #NeverSayNever3D , can’t wait to see good friends , have fun and show some support for @justinbieber , congratulations! xx

After the movie, Ashley said:

just finished watching Never Say Never. SO GOOD! way to go @justinbieber

Ashley Argota is heading to another Nickelodeon series.

Argota will play Kelly in Bucket & Skinner’s Epic Adventures that debuts in February 2011. Ashley tweeted:

“You guysss! I can finally tell you what I’ve been working on for the past few weeks… Are you readyyy?! I’m in a BRAND NEW SHOW on Nickelodeon called ‘Bucket & Skinner’s Epic Adventures’!!!!

I am so excited to be a part of this show. The cast is so awesome and we’ve been having a great time shooting. & of course, I’m so happy to still be a part of the Nickelodeon family! & don’t worry- this doesn’t affect my part in TJVP.

We shoot at different intervals so if TJVP gets a 3rd season I will be there too Glad I can finally tell you guys what’s goin’ on now cant wait for you guys to see the show! love you guysssss”

In January the TJVP (True Jackson, VP) cast will find out if they were picked up for a third season and if so, Argota will be on Nick twice!

Here is the premise of the show:

Bucket & Skinner’s Epic Adventures is a buddy comedy about two surfer dudes navigating the small trials of everyday life. When Bucket (Taylor Gray) attempts to win over the affection of classmate Kelly (Ashley Argota), his best bud Skinner (Dillon Lane) decides to nominate him as class President, inadvertently causing him to run against the super-popular athlete Aloe (Glenn McCuen). Unqualified and totally unfit for student council, Bucket is forced to team up with the Kelly’s younger sister, the precocious Piper (Tiffany Espensen), in order to save face and try to win the heart of his dream girl.

Nickelodeon has quite a few new live action shows coming up including House of Anubis (see the trailer here.)

Keke Palmer has posted another chapter of her ‘On The Reel’ series. Webisode 3 is titled “On Top Of The World.”

The True Jackson, VP star talks about her move to Los Angeles to pursue acting, working on Akeelah and the Bee, ad libbling on Tyler Perry’s set, her first album and what she has learned since then. She’s packed it with a lot of good stuff!

Keke Palmer has released her brand new video for her new song “The One You Call.” The 17 year-old actress and singer took control of the video shoot and is proud it’s her vision completely:

“This video is very important to me because together with choreographer Nick Demoura I was able to create my own video without anyone telling me what I could not do, I chose the clothes for my dancers and me, I cast the leading guy (a lot of you think he’s cute!), along with the help of directors Ryan Parma and Gabe Evans. I was able to live out my vision for how I wanted my fans to see me and I am so thankful it was an AMAZING experience!”

Keke Palmer is producing a new web series “On The Reel” for fans to get a look at her life before she landed her Nickelodeon gig True Jackson VP. The talented actress and singer will include audition tapes, clips from her movies and TV appearances in the past and keep you up to date what she’s currently working on and what her life is like now. Palmer will also answer questions you can submit at KekePalmer.com, her official site.

The Akeelah and the Bee star is planning on attending Howard University in Washington D.C sometime in the future and visited the campus recently, posting pics and video on her site.

Marvel comics successful series Runaways is set to be turned into a big screen adaptation. The story of a group of teenagers who band together to fight their evil crime-loving parents will start filming in January 2011 and Keke Palmer has joined the cast. The teen star of Nickelodeon’s True Jackson, VP has confirmed the offer, but which part she will play is still unclear. The actress told Essence magazine:

“I’ve had a nice little break with the steady TV show but I’m definitely ready to do some more films again. I was just asked to join a new Marvel comic project called, ‘Runaways.’ “

There is also a lone report that Lucas Cruikshank has auditioned for the movie but no official announcement has been made.

Keke Palmer is very fortunate and the soon-to-be 17 year-old knows it. Palmer’s seventeenth b-day is just around the corner and the True Jackson VP star is requesting something from you: help out those who need clean drinking water. From Keke’s blog:

Hey guys,
I have been working with charities that help children starting way back when I was in Akeelah and The Bee, but I have never done anything like this, I was just so moved by My Charity Water and wanted to help bring clean water to children, water should be clean and available to all people at least that is how I feel, I just want to help in some way.

On August 26th I turn 17th, but instead of birthday presents this year I am asking friends, family, and fans to help me bring clean water to children. I have been so very blessed in my life and it would truly be a great birthday if I could use it to help someone in need.
