“The Vampire Diaries” star Ian Somerhalder’s Damon Salvatore beat Robert Pattinson’s Edward Cullen as the sexiest beast in Entertainment Weekly’s Sexy Beast tournament. Damon is officially the sexiest vampire ever! I told you SO!

Damon Salvatore eked out a mild upset victory over Edward Cullen by a margin of 138,630 to 134,728, a difference of just 3,902 votes. Sorry Robert Pattinson!

At first Ian was not convinced he could compete against Twilight’s Cullen. He tweeted, “That Pattinson guy will end up kicking my butt, however thanks for taking the time, that’s really cool:)”

Ian ended up kicking Robert’s butt!! He revealed on Twitter: “You didn’t want to or if your child made you- thank you do tue support and thank you EW for all of your support. The VD crew now has a nickname for me… I meant: every one is calling me a sexy beast on set:)”

YES! YES! LOVE IAN!! Congratulations, you sexy beast!

Actress Tiya Sircar is set to join the incredible cast of CW’s “The Vampire Diaries” for the second season, which will premiere on Thursday, September 9. Tiya will have a small role as Amiee Bradley, a high school student in Mystic Falls in the third episode, but she can potentially earn a recurring role in the show.

“It’s been so much fun working with such a great cast,” Sircar said. “I’d love to come back for more episodes, but nobody is safe in Mystic Falls!

“Working with the boys in this show could make a girl’s head spin. They’re all so easy on the eyes. But what’s better, they happen to be really sweet as well.”

The “17 Again” star is one smart girl! Who cares about Mystic Falls? We want to know all about the hot gorgeous boys and whether or not she will get bitten by one of the sexy Salvatore brothers.

So much vampilicious dish out right now it’s hard to figure out where to begin…

Filming has begun on season 2 of The Vampire Diaries (they’ve already finished the premiere episode) and the cast, writers and producers have been giving up some juicy tidbits to all sorts of media outlets.

Stars Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley, Matt Davis, Steven R McQueen, and Michael Trevino and writer/producers Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec were all at Comic Con in San Diego and all gave a multitude of interviews dropping new morsels in each one.

Miley Cyrus said more than once she is not a fan of vampires, vampire stories or Twilight, but the cast are determined to convince the singer vampires are pretty cool and seductive. Here is what they had to say:

Stephenie Meyer: “I didn’t like vampires before I started writing about them. I was so not into vampires. Maybe it will come to her when she’s 30 like it did for me.”

Peter Facinelli: “I’m not necessarily a huge vampire fan, but I do love the books that Stephenie Meyer created. I love that you don’t see fangs. It’s not a horror movie by any means.”

Elizabeth Reaser: “I’ve always been a fan of vampires since I was a little girl. I loved all the Anne Rice books. Maybe Miley’s resisting. Maybe they’re so popular now that it’s annoying or she’s sick of seeing us.”

Kellan Lutz: “She hasn’t met me then. I would change her opinion on that, I’m sure. I have my ways.”

Ashley Greene: “That’s so unfortunate because I love her new songs…I’m going to sit Miley down and force her to watch Twilight.”

And, Wolf-packer Alex Meraz adds: “Tell her she might like it ‘doggy’ style.”

We are proud of Miley for not being easily influenced by whatever is more popular at the time. It’s OK to not be a fan of vampires and Twilight! Miley has a very strong personality… BUT we don’t know if she can resist both Kellan and Alex.

Actor Ian Somerhalder, who plays the evil Salvatore brother, Damon on “The Vampire Diaries”, is the sexiest, most gorgeous and coolest vampire ever (check out more pictures below). The 31 year-old is sexy, smart and a philanthropist.

I know most of you will probably disagree with me and would name Robert Pattinson as the sexiest vampire, but girls, you have to give Ian a chance! Damon is the typical bad boy – hot, funny and irresistible with a very sensitive side! Luv him!!

Actress/singer Miley Cyrus is not a fan of “Glee” and she doesn’t even watch the show. The 17 year-old is very outspoken and is usually very honest. Miley is also not a fan of vampires. No vampires and NO Twilight!

“I’ve never seen Glee,” Miley said. “Someone asked me yesterday if I was a Gleek, and I said, ‘What the heck is a Gleek? That’s not something I want to be.’ They said it’s someone who’s a fan of Glee, and I was like, ‘I’ve never seen it’… I’m not a huge, like, musical – whatever. I don’t know.”

“I hate vampires,” she says. When asked if she watches “True Blood”, Miley said, “What channel is that on?”

“We don’t have HBO,” she said, adding that her mom only gets “about 10 channels” at their house. “So we don’t watch a lot of TV. We don’t know what’s on. All we have is like the Disney Channel and Nick at Nite because my sister is only 10 years old.”

Miley does not have to worship vampires like almost every teenager in the whole world. And to tell the truth, we should give props to Miley for thinking for herself and having such a strong personality! Go Miley!

Actor Robert Pattinson, who plays a seductive vampire in The Twilight Saga, is actually distantly related to Dracula, according to expert Genealogists. WHAT? Rob is related to the original vampire? Crazy, insane! Robert is also distantly related to England’s Prince William and Prince Harry.

Genealogists say the 24-year-old “Twilight” star is related to Vlad the Impaler, widely cited as the inspiration for the main character in Bram Stoker’s “Dracula.”

Researchers at Ancestry.com discovered that Pattinson and the Transylvanian leader (real name: Vlad III Dracula) are connected through their relationship to the British royal family. Prince William and Prince Harry are Pattinson’s distant cousins; Vlad the Impaler was their distant uncle.

“Tracing Pattinson’s family back to Vlad was difficult research, but the pieces that unraveled created the perfect accompaniment to the Twilight Saga,” said Anastasia Tyler, a genealogist at Ancestry.com. “Without any myth or magic, we find royalty and vampires lurking in Pattinson’s life — making his story just as supernatural as the one he’s playing on screen.”

Also connected to the prince’s lineage and therefore to Dracula? Stephenie Meyer, the author of the “Twilight” series.

So everyone is related to Dracula? I don’t get it. If we go back far enough we are all related because we are all descendents of Adam and Eve. So we are all brothers, sisters, cousins… we are very promiscuous people!

Twilight besties Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz were joined by their Eclipse costar Xavier Samuel for the 2010 MuchMusic Video Awards in Toronto on Sunday night June 20th. The trio of on screen vampires were scene stealers at the annual event.
