Vanessa Hudgens and Josh Hutcherson’s Super Awkward Moment – VIDEO

Written by Kelly Bandas on January 16, 2012 – 9:11 am -

And no, it has nothing to do with how terrible their latest project Journey 2: The Mysterious Island looks…

During a recent interview with an Austrailian interviewerJosh Hutcherson and Vanessa Hudgens were asked how long they’d been going out together.

Ummmm…  I guess they’re giving anyone with a fedora and a notepad a press badge these days?

Although the pair briefly dated while filming Journey 2, they split back in July and Vanessa’s now dating fellow actor Austin Butler.  While the question certainly provided a few, long, dragged out awkward moments, Josh quickly took the reigns and defuse the situation.

We’re not… We were at one point, but she broke my heart. No, I’m just kidding. That was a while ago. We’re really good friends now.

Phew – thank goodness that’s over!

Check out the video of Josh and Vanessa’s awkward interview below…

Vanessa Hudgens Says “Sucker Punch” Is a Fun Complex Movie

Written by Gossip Gal on March 2, 2011 – 7:32 pm -

This is Vanessa Hudgens big year! The 22 year-old actress is really trying hard to make a successful transition from Disney star to an “adult” actress with two new movies, “Beastly” and “Sucker Punch”.

Vanessa recently broke up with her High School Musical boyfriend, Zac Efron, and I’ve got a feeling she will have the opportunity to try some new things. Vanessa is probably a better actress than singer, so she is on the right path.

In an interview for Cineplex Magazine, Vanessa claims “Sucker Punch” is like six movies in one and she loved the experience. As for “Beastly”, the actress finally understood the deeper message behind the modern version of “Beauty & The Beast”.

Here are some highlights from Vanessa Hudgens’ Cineplex interview:

On putting “Sucker Punch” into words: “It’s really interesting and extremely hard to put into words. But it’s basically six movies all put together in one and with different settings, and it takes place in the fifties and it’s super kick-ass. It’s classy, it’s empowering and it’s very moving.”

On Blondie: “She’s kind of a follower in the real world but once we go into the fight sequences she turns into an extreme badass.”

On her thoughts of Beastly: “I did [think it was just a Disney story], until I really looked into it. And it fascinates me that people still have not caught onto [the message]…Now more than ever kids are extremely fascinated with the Hollywood glamour and it’s not how it is, but that’s all that you see.”

Vanessa Hudgens Intimate Newsweek Interview (Video)

Written by Gossip Gal on September 30, 2009 – 6:41 pm -

Bandslam star Vanessa Hudgens opens up to Newsweek about being constantly followed by the paparazzi, her amazing fans and how to good it is to have real friends who she can always count on even if they haven’t seen each other for months.

Here are some highlights from Vanessa Hudgens “7 Things” Newsweek interview (watch video below):

On paparazzi: “Paparazzi are a nuisance because it doesn’t have anything to do with your actual job, which for me is acting and movies. Instead, they take interest in me filling up my tank at the gas station and random things. I think it’s unnecessary but it’s something that comes with the territory.”

On her fans that followed her from High School Musical: “It’s amazing. I’ve never had that obsession over anything where I started crying [at the sight]. But it’s incredible. They are the best fans.”

On keeping close to her friends: “We all have such hectic schedules that we’ll go from not seeing each other for months and when we do meet up again, we pick right back up where we started. I think it’s nice to have real friends like that. Girly nights are always fun — consisting of staying in, watching movies and grubbing out.”

Sexy Vanessa Hudgens Covers Parade Mag

Written by Gossip Gal on July 31, 2009 – 7:25 am -

Former High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens is the new cover girl for Parade Magazine. The 20 year-old actress, who wants to embrace more mature movie roles, talks about growing up, being a mama’s girl, paparazzi and her nude picture scandal.

Here are some highlights from Vanessa Hudgens’ Parade Magazine interview:

On the nude picture scandal and how she’s moving on from it: “That’s why I’m extremely guarded. I really do try to watch everything I say. Because one little tiny slip, and it’s like the world is coming to an end! It is hard. I do always have a wall up. But I feel by doing it, I keep myself safe. I try to live my life, do what I want, and just let everything else follow along. I try not to read the blogs or what people say about me. Because that’s what brings everybody down–no matter what you do, you’re always going to have haters.”

On hiding from the paparazzi: “I keep my head down. Usually I’ll run around in hoodies, and I’ve got this massive head of hair, and I throw it all in my face so that nobody can see me. But if I want to do something, I’m going to do it, and if people recognize me, the fans, then great. They’re the reason why High School Musical is what it is, and they’re the reason why I’m here, so I’m thankful.”

On being a mama’s girl: “I got her fired once. I was calling her at work way too much, because I missed her. Back then, I was so shy, I did not want to leave her side. I would call her at work nonstop, to the point where she got fired. It was horrible.”

On moving out of her parents house: “I feel like I need to earn my right to have a home. It’s nice to be spoiled, but I want to be able to know that I can do it. [My parents] know I’m growing up, and they’re proud that I can actually have my own home. Of course I think they’re worried to a certain extent. But they’re so proud of me.”

On getting used to living on her own: “It’s weird living by myself. I thought I’d be the person who, every time I hear a little noise, would hide under my bed. But I’ve fallen in love with my home. When I’m in there, I feel safe. I don’t think I’ve gotten scared once–knock on wood–in my house by myself. Then again, I do sleep with the TV on so that I don’t hear all the little clinks and clanks at night!”
