This is Vanessa Hudgens big year! The 22 year-old actress is really trying hard to make a successful transition from Disney star to an “adult” actress with two new movies, “Beastly” and “Sucker Punch”.

Vanessa recently broke up with her High School Musical boyfriend, Zac Efron, and I’ve got a feeling she will have the opportunity to try some new things. Vanessa is probably a better actress than singer, so she is on the right path.

In an interview for Cineplex Magazine, Vanessa claims “Sucker Punch” is like six movies in one and she loved the experience. As for “Beastly”, the actress finally understood the deeper message behind the modern version of “Beauty & The Beast”.

Here are some highlights from Vanessa Hudgens’ Cineplex interview:

On putting “Sucker Punch” into words: “It’s really interesting and extremely hard to put into words. But it’s basically six movies all put together in one and with different settings, and it takes place in the fifties and it’s super kick-ass. It’s classy, it’s empowering and it’s very moving.”

On Blondie: “She’s kind of a follower in the real world but once we go into the fight sequences she turns into an extreme badass.”

On her thoughts of Beastly: “I did [think it was just a Disney story], until I really looked into it. And it fascinates me that people still have not caught onto [the message]…Now more than ever kids are extremely fascinated with the Hollywood glamour and it’s not how it is, but that’s all that you see.”

Former High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens is ready to get rid of her good girl image and get into more mature roles, which may include nudity. Vanessa will player a hooker in her new movie “Sucker Punch” and reveals there won’t be much clothes…

Vanessa said, “I’m playing a character named Blondie and it’s set in a brothel in the 1950s, so there’s not a whole lot of clothes,” the 20-year-old teased.

“I think this is my time to really step it up and get to grow up. I think that this will be somewhat different with the content and a few more foul words but that’s the biggest difference.”

Vanessa naked isn’t exactly something we haven’t seen before… I’m sure we all still remember those nude photos of the young actress meant for her boyfriend, Zac Efron, which were leaked last year.

High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens wants to get rid of her cute high school girl image and do something more challenging and risky in a future movie role. Vanessa is open to do anything even strip off her clothes but that is something she is not ready to do yet.

Vanessa says: “I will show nudity in a film when the time is right. Right now, I wouldn’t feel comfortable doing it, but like I said, when the time’s right, if it’s an amazing movie that I’m really passionate about and that’s what it calls for, then we’ll see.”

Just last year Vanessa’s nude photos were all over the place, you would have thought she would be completely ready to do it in a more artistic way…
