Getting trapped in a futuristic prison is on the horizon for Taylor Lautner. The Twilight Saga actor is attached to star in Incarceron, the adaptation of the Catherine Fisher novel.

Lautner will star as Finn, a 17 year old prisoner who has found the ability to communicate with Claudia, the daughter of the Warden of Incarceron. Claudia is headed for an arranged marriage and is convinced Finn can help her find a way out.

Lautner is working on the last of the Twilight films, Breaking Dawn. He will also star with Lily Collins in Abduction in 2011.

It’s the day for teen book/movie adaptation casting – Collins just inked a deal for City Of Bones (see that article here.)

Now if only they would announce who will star in The Hunger Games…

Justin Bieber had a fantastic night at the 2010 American Music Awards on Sunday, November 21st. The teen star took home four awards for the evening and even set a record.

Winning in the categories of Pop/Rock Music for both Favorite Artist, Male and Favorite Album My World 2.0, he also landed trophies for T-Mobile’s Breakthrough Artist of the Year and Artist of the Year.

Bieber made history at the AMA’s when he won Artist of the Year – he is the youngest performer ever to have won that category in the history of the ceremonies. JB was so grateful, during his acceptance speech, he called his mentor, Usher to the stage to say thanks for giving him the opportunity of a lifetime.

Abigail Breslin plays a young singer/songwriter in her new film Janie Jones. In the movie, Breslin’s Janie is trying to connect with her musician father (who didn’t know she existed) while her mother enters rehab.

The 14 year-old actress really liked playing Janie as she even got to drive for the film (she was only 13 at the time) and scared one of the assistants! Breslin said:

“I actually drove in the parking lot and it was awesome, “she said. “I did the actual stunt thing where I almost hit a car. Everybody was fearful those 2 days. We had this one production assistant, Ben, who was in the back seat while I was driving. I could tell he was so afraid and thinking ‘Why did they put me in the car with this lunatic?’ ”

But the illicit driving experience was every kid’s dream.

“It was fun,” says Breslin “My brothers (Spencer, age 18 and Ryan, 25) got their licenses both of them like 3 months ago. I’m like ‘I’m more experienced than you guys are.’”

Breslin did her own singing for the part and while she was nervous – she says she had lots of fun experiencing something new.

Twilight hunk Kellan Lutz hit Cosmo Magazine’s radar as a Fun Fearless Male for their February issue and the actor stopped by to party with the other guys Monday night in NYC. While Breaking Dawn is rumored to start filming this fall (and will be split into two films – just like the Harry Potter series finale) the Emmett Cullen actor isn’t resting on his vampire laurels. The actor is costarring with another Twi alum, Ashley Greene in Warrior and the latest Nightmare on Elm Street reboot. Oh yeah, and there are those hot hot hot seriously sexy Calvin Klein underwear ads…

Keke Palmer attended the 41st NAACP Image Awards at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on February 26th and walked away a winner. The True Jackson, VP star took home a trophy for Oustanding Performance in a Youth/Children’s Program. The Nickelodeon actress was absolutely radiant in her long lemony yellow gown. Congratulations Keke!

Taylor Lautner is in the Italian men’s magazine L’Uomo Vogue showing off his muscles and getting wet. There isn’t much more to say except enjoy these two new pics of our favorite teen shapeshifter/werewolf. Everyone is looking forward to watching him as Jacob Black in November when The Twilight Saga: New Moon hits theaters.

The Vampire Diaries premiered this week on the CW Network and now website The Smoking Gun has uncovered the arrest of the young stars of the new series. On August 22nd, actresses Nina Dobrev, Candice Accola, Kayla Ewell and Sara Canning were arrested outside Atlanta, Georgia on charges of disorderly conduct as motorists phoned in reporting the group hanging from Rumble Road Bridge.

According to a Monroe County Sheriff’s Office report, the actresses were being shot by photographer Tyler Shields, whose digital cameras were inspected by a cop who discovered numerous images showing “the females hanging, sitting and straddling the bridge.” One photo, a deputy noted, “even showed one female being held by her legs by the other females, as if they were trying to throw her over.”

The four were arrested along with another actress, Krystal Vayda and photographer Tyler Shields who was taking photos of the group. Whatever photo shoot this was for, it was poor planning on the part of the photog (or maybe it’s genius publicity!) Shields paid the $4000 fine and all were released.

Who watched TVD? I enjoyed it – hopefully they will spend more money on special effects in the next episodes but otherwise it was a pretty good start. Besides, it has Ian Somerhalder in it.
