In a newly released trailer for the upcoming film The Paperboy, Zac Efron fans will certainly be getting an eyeful of their favorite Hollywood hunk!  In a scene opposite co-star Nicole Kidman, the 24-year-old actor struts his stuff in some seriously see-through tight-whities and – well, it’s awesome.

The flick, due out in October, also stars some other not-so-bad-looking fellows by the names of  Matthew McConaughey and John Cusack.

Yeah, we will be in line to buy tickets for this the moment they go on sale.  You can count on that!

Sure, we all know Zac Efron is a hottie with a body, but up until now, the 24-year-old has played it relatively safe when it came to choosing roles that showed off his uber-masculinity.

Not anymore.

In his new film The Paperboy, which just debuted at the Cannes Film Festival, Zac plays “Jack”, a 20-year-old kid who, for one reason or a bother, spends much of his time nothing but white underwear – oh yeah, and he’s also Matthew McConaughey’s younger brother.  Can you say man-candy overload?

In a recent interview, Zac opened up about what it was like to stretch his acting chops (and finely-tuned physique) in his latest role.

As much as I love everything I’ve done, this is a new frontier for me,” he said at the press conference. “It’s incredibly fulfilling. It’s a dream. Hopefully, I can keep doing things like this… I don’t think I was supposed to feel comfortable… It’s like life. This character is supposed to be learning the ways of the world, and that can be very uncomfortable. But it’s also exciting.

We can’t wait to see Zac in his underwe- we mean, in this new light!

We thought that all you ladies out there might be interested in what Zac Efron considers to be marriage material – you can thank us later.

According to a recent interview with Womens Health Magazine, the qualities Zac is looking for in the future Mrs. Efron are,

A sense of ambition and a sense of freedom which is a careful mix. You have to balance those two. I haven’t exactly found it yet.

Got that ladies?  A sense of ambition and freedom.  You get those two things and you’ll nab yourself one of Hollywood’s hunkiest bachelors.

As far as how the 24-year-old star of The Lucky One intends on finding Ms. Right, he’s got a few tricks up his sleeves.

[I usually say]…So, do you like High School Musical?’ I’m kidding! If the situation’s right, buy someone a drink. Think on your toes, use what’s around you, and come up with something organic and fun…  When it ends up going on longer than planned…and you don’t even realize it… You don’t want it to end.

Even though hunka-hunka-burnin’ man Zac Efron may be used to being eye-candy for millions of women all over the world, that doesn’t mean he’s immune to the inevitable awkwardness that comes with filming a love scene in front of scores of rolling cameras.

In a recent interview, The Lucky One star opened up about how he avoids potential uncomfortable situations, during some verrrrry “romantic” scenes with costar Taylor Schilling,

You can’t take it too seriously. At the end of the day, the best thing to do is laugh all the way through it. It’s hilarious…

But Zac wasn’t always the consummate professional he is today; according to the 45-year-old star, one of his first on-screen kissing scenes didn’t exactly go as smoothly as he’d hoped.

I had a kissing scene one time and I totally ate a tuna sandwich. And it was the first one we had to do and I got called out on it. It was so embarrassing and I have never done it again. And we were filming! It was on Summerland, ages ago.

Sorry – but we refuse to believe that Zefron has ever had bad breath in his life – or B.O. or a bad hair day.  He’s perfect.  End of story.

Hollywood hunk and star of The Lorax, Zac Efron, spoke with CBS Sunday Morning’s Tracy Smith about not considering himself anything but “Just Zac.”

I can’t explain to you what it’s like to be a heartthrob, [because] I don’t think I am a heartthrob… I hate [that word]. I hate it. It follows you around, but you don’t deserve it. It’s like, ‘Why?’

Why?  Have you looked in a mirror recently Zackie boy?  Let’s get real for a second here.

Here are our top 10 reasons Zac Efron is definitely a heartthrob:

1. Those eyes.

2. A killer set of pipes (we meant his voice, but yes, his arms are nice too.)

3. He’s got some sweet dance moves.

8. He can operate a 25 foot schooner a la Charlie St. Cloud.

Mix one-part beloved children’s author’s birthday, two-parts rumored Hollywood A-list couple and add a dash of Disney magic – and you’ve got yourself a recipe for a box office smash.

Enter Pixar’s latest creation, The Lorax, which manhandled its competition during the film’s opening weekend – raking in over $70 million in ticket sales, making it the highest debuting film of 2012.

Yeah, we know it’s only March 5th, but STILL!

The film, which featured the voices of Zac Efron, Taylor Swift, Betty White and Danny DeVito to name a few, beat out teen-thriller Project X , Roselyn Sanchez‘s Act of Valor,  Ryan Reynolds-Denzel Washington thriller Safe House Tyler Perry‘s Good Deeds.

It may just be us, but we’d rather watch the real Ryan Reynolds than an animated Zac Efron any day…

Okay, sorry – that was inexcusable, but it is actually kind of true…

According to Zac Efron, his Lorax costar, Taylor Swift, recently taught him how to play guitar during downtime while working on voiceovers for their latest film endeavor.

We were all running around doing different interviews [for The Lorax] but I caught her for five minutes and told her my resolution was to learn how to play guitar… She was like, ‘Well I can play guitar.’ So, you know, then she can teach me. It was great!

The actor continued to gush about his country music-playing guitar teacher adding,

She’s just lovely — so sweet… Everything that just comes across in her music — the warmth, her personality, her charm — is just who she is.

But you guys still aren’t dating right?  Right, okay…

Okay, okay – there’s really nothing “hunky” about this particular Home Depot run, except for the fact that it was Zac Efron who was making it.

The 24-year-old swung by an L.A.-area Home Depot yesterday to pick up a few essentials - fire logs, a lamp, a portable heater, some pots, and some gardening items, to be exact.  Sounds like a really nice little Saturday.

I wonder if he had enough time to get to Bed, Bath & Beyond…

Man, Zac Efron sure gets around!  One minutes he’s rumored to be dating Emma Roberts, then the next thing you know, he’s hooking up with Rumer Willis and now we hear he’s arm-in-arm with T-Sweezy (that’s Taylor Swift for those of you just joining us) – who’s next?  Meryl Streep?

Obviously not. She’s old.  That’s gross.

Moving on – the 24-year-old was spotted with country music sweetheart, Taylor Swift, at the L.A. eatery Place on January 6th.

Can we pause here for a moment?  If I could have one wish for Hollywood, it would be that someone could open up a restaurant with a normal, non-pretentious name.  Place?  Really?  We’re going to eat at Place?  What’s next, Over There?  Or how about, Here?  You’re a restaurant.  You serve food on tiny plates with weird sauces.  Get over yourselves.

According to sources, the pair, who arrived together were,

…Deep in conversation and very giggly… They seemed very friendly.

However, other insiders speculate that the dinner wasn’t romantic at all and was, in fact, strictly business,

They were in L.A. doing press stuff together [for Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax… And after they were done, they decided to grab dinner.

Snoozeville!  Let’s all just pretend that they are dating – that’s way more fun!
